Frostblade Irelia: Sci-Fi skin now more fantasy?

I actually like the look of the new Frostbooty quite a bit, but it reads as a different, (equally cool) skin fantasy to me, which is to say that the old skin made me think of an ice themed take on a Starcraft Ghost, and the new one reads like a superpowered Frozen Elsa.

Pet theory: Frostblade had the sci-fi angle toned down because Irelia is slated to join the ranks of PROJECT (or another higher tech skin line)!
