Tab menu position auto-sorting only working on enemy team?

Been noticing since patch 8.14 that in the tab menu, while the enemy team gets sorted into the traditional top/jungle/mid/bot/support order automatically, MY team is sorted by the order that we picked in champ select (which is the way it used to work prior to the auto sorting feature).

Incidentally, I still maintain that the default/esports positional ordering is LAME, and that the most intuitive ordering would be top/jungle/mid/support/bot REASONS:

  • Bot should be at the bottom of the list, just like top is at the top of the list
  • Much in the same way as jungle is the glue sitting between top and mid, support should be the glue between mid and bot (is roaming not a thing?)
  • Be real, did support originally get listed last because it made the most intuitive sense, or was it a side effect of it being the least desirable, historically lowest impact position?

...But I digress. Regardless of the default order, having a consistent auto-sort on both sides is a great little feature and I'm looking forward to the fix!

I've noticed this too - and it seems to change the order it sorts based on your position. Like, for support, everyone is shifted down one, but for jungle it's just the top two that are swapped.

Yeah mine is f****d too. Posted here a few days ago as well. Riot has yet to show concern or reply that they are aware/care~

On a side note, I'm fine with the order they have it as that's the order I've been used to for a couple of years now so my muscle memory knows exactly where to look. So imagine my astonishment when I tab and nothing is in any kind of order~

I got in the habit many years ago to simply drag drop at the beginning of the game. I still do that now. It's not a considtantly thing for me but every so often I get a fucked up game.

Same thing here. Every single game I played today, in mid lane, has me appear at the top of the list and the jungler+top laner roles are switched in position as well. Pretty annoying and it's hard to get used to. Bot lane, for some reason, is in the right order. The enemy team is always fine too.
