Karma and Possession

Is it just me or are the lorewriters all about having more than 1 personality in 1 body these days?

The recent ones: Varus - 2 dudes + 1 Darkin Zoe - 1 kid + 1 god

And now, Karma , 1 girl + many voices.

I mean...is it that hard to ask for a champion to keep their own personality in their own bodies without anything else trying to move in?

Karma's lore could've simply been:

Darha, a girl, who was found to possess strange, magical powers (that emitted green light/dragon) in her healing hut village. Monks came and found her to have been blessed by Karma, an Ionian spirit, who watched over the lands, and was a patron of the dragons. And voila, she now became the second coming of "Karma". With her teachings, she struggles to find balance between peace and war, especially when she found out the extent of her powers by accidentally blowing up a Noxian ship. And what have you.

Sigh. Riot continues to overcomplicate a subject matter when the source material is like right there, lain out in plain sight.

Honestly the big problem with your suggestion is that it is really bland. Like what sets Karma apart from other champs? In your suggestion she is a woman with magic powers and thats really it,thats not really something that sets her apart from other magesSyndra Taliyah Leblanc Lissandra etc.

Yup, they got their story they want to write and they don't care what's standing in the way.

They don't even care if these aspects don't show through in the champion's gameplay or appearance at all. The writers have never been more disconnected from the fans or the game itself than they have been in recent months.
