Who is the Poster Child of LoL? *HARD STATS SON*

So, I was bored AF and so I decided to find out who was statistically the most recognizable face in LoL. I accomplished by going through every single official piece of artwork from Riot Games that:

  1. Had more than two champions featured
  2. Was not promoting a skin line

I had gone through eleven pictures of this type and tallied up points for each champion when they were featured in the art work, with each appearance equaling "1" point. After that, I had gone through every cinematic officially produced by Riot Games that:

  1. Was not directly tied to lore (That includes Journal of Justice)
  2. Was produced under the exact name "League of Legends"

Champions featured in a cinematic who were not a "skin" version of themselves (Sorry, Demonblade Tryndamere) got "3" points while champions who got their own music video got "5" points, because I feel like it. Alright, and now for the Results in 3rd, 2nd, 1st place ordering.

7th Place: "The Recognizables" Darius Leona Malphite MasterYi Morgana Artwork Appearances: 1-----Cinematic Appearances: 1------Total Points: 4

3rd Place: "The Secret Lover of Riot Games" Nocturne Nocturne Nocturne Artwork Appearances: 6-----Cinematic Appearances: 1------Total Points: 9 Quite a surprise to me, someone at Riot really must have a soft spot for the guy.

2nd Place: "The Duke of League of Legends" Ryze Ryze Ryze Artwork Appearances: 4-----Cinematic Appearances: 3------Total Points: 13 For someone so heavily featured in advertising, he has the be the biggest problem child League has ever had balancing wise.

1st Place: "The Queen of League of Legends" Katarina Katarina Katarina Artwork Appearances: 6-----Cinematic Appearances: 3-------Total Points: 15 This could be for multiple reasons, but I think it comes down to having a very cool and very attractive design.

Well there it is, too much work for too little reward, but it's fine. If you would like links to all artworks and videos I used as sources, I can provide. Katarina is the Poster Child of League of Legends, I don't think anyone was that surprised. Also, it is impossible that I didn't make a mistake somewhere, please point it out if you find an inaccuracy.

Seriously though, I think merchandise presence should be included, though harder to calculate. Teemo's like Riot's Pikachu IMO.

Honestly I think Darius should be much higher up. He's been the Icon for their Facebook and YouTube channels for a while now.

Isn't Shyvana in 2 artworks? The new season picture and the Riven vsShyvana that is the feature picture on twitch.tv

Then again she is constantly going into dragon form. Not exactly her character image.

cool list. Though I think that the iconicness of the champs can't be made clear only due to stuff like that. I mean like you said,nocturne is surprisingly high on this list,despite the fact that nocturne isn't really iconic to the game. Meanwhile Mundo who is pretty iconic is only on the 10th place.

However I think that Katarina and Ryze being the poster childs of the game is pretty accurate.

EDIT: However what I wonder is: What does count as cinematic?Bard Kalista Ekko RekSai TahmKench all had a video teaser for them,but that seemingly doesn't count,yet Jinxs music video does count,despite the fact that the music video was just a teaser for her as well.

I was pretty certain the old Dominion Cinematic included Lux. Maybe it was a skin version of her?

I also distinctly recall a Veigar cinematic, though it might not have been an official LoL release. Beyond the Rift (Jax vs Veigar).

I don't know if it would pass your selection, but Imagine Dragons' Warriors video for 2014 WC featured Yasuo Riven Ashe Lissandra Vi Jinx Nasus Renekton Garen and Darius , even though they were just silhouettes.

Come on, Ms Fortune is way too low. She was the main protagonist in the Harrowing as well as a key player in the Bilgewater event. Storywise, 2015 was basically one long arc for her.

Kalista and Jhin had their own cinematics. Braum had a cinematic, TahmKench had a cinematic, Ekko Bard RekSai Velkoz (list goes on).
