Ahri and Ezreal and etc getting skins does not take skins away from other champions. Calm down.

If I understand correctly, Riot has multiple teams working on several skins at any given time. Star Guardian Ahri didn't canibalize Star Guardian Urgot to exist herself and prevent his existence. Star Guardian Ahri and the others just happen to be the skins that are ready or almost ready to ship out.

Riot already promised skins for the less popular champs for this year. I'd bet money that they're in the works RIGHT NOW as we sit here and pathetically bitch about really cool new skins. In fact, they've probably been in the works for some time by now. Be patient and have a little faith for once instead of jumping down Riot's throat at every perceived slight.

EDIT: Since I guess I need to be more clear, here's an example to show how it works:

Say there's three teams working on skins. One team might be working on these Star Guardian skins. That's one team occupied with making Ahri's skin and also the others. Now there's two other teams working on other skins. These are the other champions getting their skins made and they'll be out when they're ready just like the Star Guardian skins now. Team one does not have to murder teams two and three to get their skins out. Just because Ahri is getting a skin now does not mean other champions do not have skins in the works.

Yes, obviously working on an Ahri skin means someone is not working on some other skins, but Riot has more than one person (entire teams in fact) working on skins. The other champs are getting their skins. CALM DOWN.

lets say riot has 50 people working on new skins, and lets say it takes 3 people to design a full skin, concept to creation (this is obviously NOT what they have but for the sake of argument it makes sense) So, 3 people are working on the Ahri skin, 3 on the ezreal one and so on, That's 15 people (counting all the new SG skins) that ARENT working on a Mordekaiser skin, or a Cassiopeia skin, or even as you said, SG Urgot. So, yes, that stupid ass ahri skin IS taking skins away from my baby Aatrox item 3070 item 3070 item 3070

As of right now, there are 26 champions which have not had a skin in over 2 years, 8 who have not had a skin in over 3 years, 5 which have not had a skin in over 4 years. Source

To create something, time and resources must be allocated. Yes, Riot has the resources to make skins for all of those champions (they have made far more than that number of skins in the previous year), but it a little sad to see that Riot's 12 month time frame is 1/4th up, and there's still no sign of a skin for any of these champions.

Many people often forget skins, like champs, are made on a schedule and plan that usually covers months, and not just something that is made by the art team now as they're announced. The skins are most likely done already, just some final touches left, but the art team is more likely to already be all over the next project already.

Releasing SG skinline atm takes priority because it's also tied to a new game mode/event, and both of which must've been planned at least months ago or even from last year.

Once that flair is all done, Riot would simply turn their head back to the other champs and their yearly skin schedules, which they DO get for the very most part. Riot even tossed up the promise that the likes of Illaoi and other champs who have been unfortunately forgotten by skin rotation WILL get their skins by the end of this year (assuming not in rework process); meaning either they're probably reserved higher priority and the skins are worked on now, or it has been planned ages ago and Riot is just reassuring the players because they also know about the upcoming SG event. If I were to guess, the latter is more likely given the situation.

But some people just want to come out and have a swing at shit at the slightest fuss. Come on.

No but those 15 people could have been working on skins for champs who have been neglected.

I agree. There's a lot going on and yes some champs resonate with a lot of fans and are easy to make skins for.

True, doesn't take away the promised skins for other champs in the future. But we still have the right to voice how we feel about these skins.

Personally, I am extremely disappointed in Riots choice this year for the starguardians. Yes, they fit the thematic. But alot of these champs are already really popular and get alot of skins anyway. I would have preferred if they had postponed these skins in favor of other champs.

Well, not going to purchase a single starguardian skin this year.... which is really sad, since I really love this skin line and hoped that there will at least one interesting champ for me in it. Can just hope for the coming years to have better choices for me....

There is a Karma main who wrote a post confused as to why karma didn't get a skin despite having her character profile fit perfectly for that skin line. She got a red response even. Where is that ?
