The Mysterious Laugh
Hello one, Hello all! Tis I; Calad! I bring you the fruits of my pondering. For those who didn't know there is strange event that takes place when any champion laughs in the River currently in the PBE. And I thought I'd share my thoughts on it! (Please note that I am not a Riot employee, and I have no idea what I'm talking about if any of what I am about to say will be true, Just guess work.) Without further Adue, Let us begin;
1 What Is it? 2 Does it have connections to other Characters? 3 Could It be Darkin? (TL;DR bot paragraph)

The Mysterious Laugh Is an event that takes place only in the River and only the first time a Champion Laughs in the river for the 1st time. (It used to be every time any character died for the 1st time as well but that has been changed.) If you listen to the Laugh you can hear bubbles popping with the laugh. I'm going to assume that this Laugh belongs to the next champion and that it has something to do with water. (Some kinda malevolent water spirit I guess)

Other Champions also come from the water and Ocean Such as

. In 's Lore it states that "One day returned to find the city abandoned: his people had vanished, leaving without a clue to explain their disappearance." Perhaps this strange champion could be the one responsible for the loss of 's people. Another thing to note is that was once a human that turned into what he is today after an encounter with strange "oozing [Black] liquid" that pulled him into the depth of the ocean. This Champion might be the master mind of all the misfortunes in the water. -
If you don't know what a Darken is, they are a group of five warriors that remains of the of their Lost civilization.
is one of these Darkin. If this champion is a Darkin might be to this champion that

Welp, That about sums up all the thought that I put into this, Just a Darkin water spirit that killed 's people and made what he is today. If you have a different idea on what this Mysterious Laugh could be or what it might look like please feel free to share ^^. Criticism on this theory is more then appreciated.
is already our pirate in the game and that the laugh seems to be coming from below the ocean,which is why I suspect that the laugh belongs to some davy-jones-like character,maybe gangplanks father who returns from the deep of the ocean?
Or maybe the admiral who died during one of the harrowings?
