1350 skins and their recalls

I really liked the small social media video of the Halloween Viktor skin that riot recently sent out so I decided to watch a video of the new skin. It was pretty good, save for the recall, which immediately reverts him back to his idle state after channeling the spookies.

Now I wouldn't find this a problem if they did this with all the skins. However, if you watch the zed video, the recall actually has a small animation after the teleport back to the fountain, in which he kinda jumps out before reverting to his idle state. Neither the new skins for Katarina or Viktor (currently on the PBE) that are both priced at 1350 have that tiny animation for the recall that Zed has.

This also isn't their first time doing this. If you look at the eternal sword set and their recalls, only Yi has an animation in which he lands after flying on his sword, unlike the others in the set which completely lack an animation at all,

Yes, it's a really small thing, and most likely people don't notice or care about something like this ( I personally don't buy many skins, I just want a Riot response about this), but I haven't seen this topic brought up and I'm interested to hear Riot's thoughts on it.

Tl;dr why does riot add an extra animation to the recall to one skin in a set and not the others even tho theyre the same price

and why is it given to the popular champs

Zyra was given the extra recall animation; this is something they might just add later. These skins are still WIP.

Animations are not added in the PBE cycle unless they are very low standard.

It's either the champion's skin is made with this in-mind beforehand or not at all. We have never seen a skin get a winddown animation before aftering hitting pbe.

I'd really like to agree with what you say, but riot generally doesn't add any new animations for skins other than the ones at the start of the patch. Take the eternal sword skin set, consisting of Yi, Fiora, and Janna. Although they're all worth 1350, only Yi was given an animation "after" his recall, with him doing a trick and landing from his flying sword. All 3 skins went first on the PBE, but didn't receive any major changes, save for Fiora's splash change.

You're right about Dragon Sorceress Zyra (I assume that's what you're talking about), but that wasn't the only skin during that patch at the time. Dragonslayer Xin Zhao (which I am going to assume is part of the set) doesn't have any "after recall" animation, which still leads to the problem that 1350 skins aren't getting the full 1350 treatment.

This could always just be an issue with finding ideas. It's a lot easier to add a decent animation to Dragon Sorceress Zyra, but what would you do for DS Xin?

Unless you got some proof of that, I highly doubt it. But that's missing the point.
