Will Varus ever be improved?

I love varus he was my first ever champ excluding Ashe, yet I feel like he's become more underated and obsolete (boring) is there going to be anything done to varus in the future I would love a splash art maybe stat update because compared to every other adc or mid laner except corki he fails stat wise and he's been out for awhile while all the other champions are getting updates.
