Does Ao Shin still exist in Runeterran lore even though he is not playable?

Due to Ao Shin's prior hinted lore and appearance in the spirit guard udyr motion comic, and the fact that Aurelion Sol has emerged and evolved from the initial Ao Shin concepts. I was curious if Ao Shin still exists in lore and outside of gameplay.

Also I was wondering if the concept for Ao Shin could ever have a chancce to become a champion again somewhere down the line. many groups of champs split off from singular champ concepts. So I don't see why Ao Shin can't still become a champ some day down the line.

Another thing I'd like to see for Ao Shin is maybe have him as a neutral objective for some kind of Ionia map, event, or game mode.

It's just too sad to just let Ao Shin himself die out and become nothing. Bringing it back to the beginning, I'm sure If riot really wanted to, he could at least find a home in the Lore at the very least!
