Man I'm really dying to know what the coming darkness Swain can see is. Is it literal Darkness with the Black Mist that is growing in power? The Shadow Isles are indeed off the shore in Noxus' direction although fairly far away. The undead have been growing for centuries and attacking small towns as well as Bilgewater, but invading a kingdom with magic wielders as well as the world's largest (I believe) army would be extremely hard (Is Elise giving the Spider God information?) This could also finally set up the Mordekaiser VGU, who seems to be the defacto leader of the undead. It would make sense that he wants to return home and rule the world once again.

Is it The Void? I'm not sure we've ever seen the Targonians care about the Shadow Isles, although I'm sure the undead are a threat to them as well. Zoe's arrival and the fact that we haven't had a Void champion in a while as well as Void lore shows me that the time may indeed be upon us to learn about perhaps the most fantastical League region of all. There are far more Aspects on Runeterra and the Aspect of War is controlling the most powerful superweapon in the universe, it's clear The Void is near.

Is it another Rune War? Something is chasing Ryze and while we don't exactly know what it is, my thoughts are that it's the demons. Evelynn says "who does a girl need to kill to start another Rune War?" and as far as we know right now all demons feed on some sort of misery or another. This could also set Ryze up for his next rework, so we can get some exciting new lore about what's been following him.

Maybe it's all of the above factors at once. All of Runeterra could be going into a state of chaos and war and Swain knows he has to strengthen Noxus to make sure they survive the days ahead. Or who knows, maybe it's something new entirely.

No matter what Riot goes with I am hyped as hell for this update. While I stand by my statements that the 200 bug man and the 4 polygon point and clicker need to be reworked, this update is going to be awesome. I've loved Swain's character for a long time and love drain tanks like Vladimir and Warwick but I've always wanted to fall asleep when I play Swain in game. It's fun but there's so much insane shit you can do in League now that the older characters just feel bland, and that's all about to change baby.

Let's take a moment to appreciate and remember that Noxus's symbol is reminiscent of the iron revenant that the ancient peoples have been fighting or generations

Is there any chance we'll also finally be getting a Noxus summoner icon to accompany this? I mean for gods sake, you can just crop the logo that closes around Swain and call it a day, that'd be perfect on its own.
