Skin Splash Art Update (another round!)

Hey everyone, Moonboy65 here to bring you another update on the Skin Splash Art update!!!

So we all know that Miss Fortune is currently getting worked on and Reav3 has confirmed that they will not be updating the splashes for another female marksman after her. This leaves the art team with 10 different options (not including Ashe and Sivir): Support: Alistar and Sona Top: Nasus, Renekton, Garen and Gangplank Mid: Karthus, Kassadin, Annie and Heimerdinger

Also the Haunted Maokai splash has been delayed, not sure for how long though.

However, we still have plenty of champions to go through for skin splash updates, but out of these 10 champions, who do you want to see next after MF? (pls be Sona)

And now I have 5 questions for Reav3:

  1. The last time we had "bonus" splash updates was Count and Marquis Vladimir. Will we be seeing more soon? (wouldn't mind more of them)
  2. With Miss Fortune being worked on, which one of her splashes is your favorite so far in terms of progress?
  3. Have you decided whether to update/remove GP in Arcade Miss Fortune's splash?
  4. Is Urgot still being worked on or is he nearing completion? If so, which splash is your favorite so far?
  5. Have you figured out why the Haunted Maokai splash was delayed? How long do you think until we see it on the PBE?

  1. We currently don't have any "Bonus" splash updates in the works unless you count Tango Twisted Fate since it will be updated with Evelynn's Tango splash. (Since they are shared)
  2. Waterloo, by far.
  3. We are most likely going to do that, don't want to commit 100% yet though but seems likely at this point.
  4. Nearing completion. Crabgot. So epic!
  5. Haunted Maokai is still delayed and might be delayed for a long time as the splash team is pretty slammed with MF, Urgot and early Evelynn stuff.

Overall I think Karthus Annie and Gangplank need the splash update the most. Karthus has probably the biggest differences between ingame models and splash arts(his reaper splash shows him skeletal,his statue splash shows him with a face hidden in shadows),annie has some rather animelooking splash arts and Gangplank looks also rather different in some skins(though I'd say not to the same extend as Karthus)

Alistar also looks like a good candidate considering that his unchained skin is probably the first skin for a lot of players.

About point 4: Doesn't she have this tv during her recall as well?In that case I'd say it wouldn't make sense to update GP in her splash art,as long as he still looks like his pre-VGU self within the actual game. And its not like old stuff can't be referenced in skins(just look at the recalls of arcade and pulsefire ezreal)

I wonder if they'll be updating Commando Garen's splash? Seeing as that skin line has been visually overhauled with Galio's VGU, and Commando Garen isn't up to date.

For question 3, I heard that they are slightly updating the splash to have the current GP in pre VGU GP's place. Which makes me sad because I like the younger looking pre VGU GP and that was the last remnant of him ingame (minus the Riot Store Figure.)

after mf can we get bonus splashes first because a lot of champs needed 1 splash updates only like divine soraka and that outback renekton skin. i suggest strong candidate after that is karthus specially we give him the graves treatment were in someplaces his skull is covered and vise versa because in china(i think) skulls are bad omen

I prefer a VU before an Splash Art Update for Ashe.

Are you sure that Sona is on the list for a splashart update? I thougth only champions who got a VU in the past, but were left with their old splashes are on the list. Sona only had a MU (model update) alongside her gameplay update and if she is on the list than you also need to include Singed here.

Gangplank Karthus Sona look fine to me, and I play of them. I like Karthus's and Sona's is really pretty. Gangplank's perfectly captures his facial expressions too.
