Now that Forbidden Idol has been solidified as a healing item, it seems odd that it's so forbidden. Dark magic is more Veigar's domain. Soraka, as we all know, is a good little Cleric and if you're marketing an item to her, it should be neither heathen nor an idol.

Even evil magic can include healing abilities. The forbidden idol looks like it is something from the void,so maybe the regeneration power comes from the void.
I mean Athenes unholy grail is also a healing item(and unlike the forbidden idol it has an actual healing effect),despite being "unholy"

Yeah, the item's name and image really doesn't fit what it does anymore. They should rename it to something more angelic or light-themed.
