Currently, all of the splash arts of the new Star Guardians have special loading screen borders, and the older ones, including Lux, the OG, has no border. I had this exact same post put before, but was removed by Riot by being in "Let's Talk:", and I was forced to move it here. It had 15 people say yes, to new borders for the old skins, and 3 people said no. Hopefully, everyone will tune into this one too.

It's just like the Project Yasuo thing. I've also posted about this. There's no reason Riot can't do this for us. It would take them no time at all, and it would satisfy the people who originally had the skins. Please Riot.

Lux and Poppy need familiars as well! They are the only two that dont.

I just want to know why the OG skins can't have a border. I don't mind not having one (it would be nice), just curious as to why they didn't.

I don't like the huge star icon covering their skirts. They should shrink the icons a little or give me the option to disable the special border.

Star Guardian Syndra looks really nice, anyone would want to hold her arm and look in her beautiful eyes while telling her how much she means to him/her.

The real question is "Why is it so important", because sometimes it feels like every time Riot takes a step, everyone wants them to go a mile. For one, Project Yasuo is the exception, not the rule. You cannot take a single time, and turn it into the common trend.

Two, Borders are meant to be "I bought this when it came out, look at me". To give Five other skins the same treatment as the newer skins devalues the idea in itself. "I bought this a year ago, and I got a boarder, but the guy who bought it today get's it too." At that point, why even bother making the Boarder exclusive to buying early, if the idea of it is thrown out the window in the process.

Three, yes, I get it, it looks nice, but it's nowhere as fast or easy as it might seem to do this. Either it looks incredibly copy-pasta'd, uninspired and rushed, or the Boarders get added in the next patch, or the one after that, which brings us back to the same problem. What's the point of setting a requirement for something, if you're going to throw it out the window. It loses the value and the fancy of having it, even it doesn't have any background or meaning to it.

i think they should, these borders are kind of becoming a bad habit of theirs imo. dont get me wrong, i like having them, but it feels like it decreases the value of the older ones that are part of the same set. imagine the next set of bloodmoon skins comes out with really sick borders even tho pretty much all the best champs that fit the theme (cept maybe zed/eve) are part of the set already but dont have the border.

I don't think you guys get it.

Loading borders are made so people buy skins on release. It's to differentiate between people who pay the full price, and people like me who wait for 50% sale.
