Neeko Ult VFX+SFX Have A Problem

TL;DR Neeko's ult charge looks like a heal.

Vexaeria here. I know that Riot designers work very hard to make an ability's visual and audio effects convey what it does. A stun should look and sound like a stun, damage like damage, etc. With that goal in mind, I have a bit of an issue with the initial charge of Neeko's ult. I watched Prof Akali play an entire game with her, and I had no idea what her ult did aside from damage even after seeing it used 6+ times. Specifically, without reading the ability, I thought the first part of her ult was an AOE heal. I say this as someone who mains control mages and utility supports.

Something about the SFX and VFX reminds me of item 3107 Redemption or Janna Janna's ult. It could be the color, it could be the high pitched but soothing sound, it could be that the tendrils stretch outward as if giving something, or some combination of all that. It doesn't really get communicated that it's taking spiritual essence until later in the ult, and I feel like it would take me quite a few games to not for a split second think a heal just happened. That 0.5s misunderstanding can be really impactful.

I grant that Neeko's ult DOES give her a shield, but that happens afterward and it doesn't buff the entire team the way the first 1.5s or so visually suggest it does. And regardless, most shields Taric Janna Lulu Ivern in the game are not green. For contrast, Karma's ulted Q and W are very good examples of AOE green abilities that in no way would I ever mistake for a heal. I can't pinpoint what differentiates it (it could be the shade of green or other factors like the speed of the VFX), but it could be a good starting point to see what to change.

This is just my personal opinion, so I'm curious if any other Summoners have the same issue.

(Posted in both Story, Art, & Sound and Gameplay+ due to me being unsure where it should go. Sorry!)

Now that you mention it, maybe it shouldn't be green, at least not on the outer ring. I suspect that to enemies it's probably red already.
