My Thoughts on BloodRazer, Devourer being removed in 6.9

On Patch 6.9 it is planned that item 1403 will be removed and replaced with bloodrazer while its item 3930 effect will be moving to item 3124 . From a gameplay stand point devourer just didn't fit. The Devourer playstyle encouraged players to NOT help out their team and just farm camps all game till they had sated by the 15 minute mark. There were a few benefits to having a devourer jungler on your team such as encouraging getting Dragon and the 'new' Rift Herald. As the jungler the gameplay of farming isn't that fun but was slightly balanced by the fact you had a baby wolf follow you as you feed it into the mega wolf that eventually 'merges with you?!?'. Bloodrazer adds tank shredding and will probobly be built on the same champions that built devourer(excluding TaricTaric , amumuAmumu , and other random non-meta devourer usersDrMundo ). I'm not gonna lie, once you got sated it was extremely fun for you but terrible for the other team. On the other team i HATED being against someone with sated, but if you enjoyed the effect it still exists on rageblade. You may think i would hate this but i actually like it since other championsTristana can now use the effect and it will be seen in a wider variety of positions. As for the other 6.9 changes(Removing enchants, new rift herald buff, dragons, etc.) I may or may not agree with those, but THAT is for a different time.

I love the idea of Bloodrazor, but I would like the wolf still. No point in wasting that work. (Though I suspect they'll have something planned for it.)

The very existence of devourer confused the hell out of me, to be honest.

First of all, the modern enchantments are pretty much the same jungle items we had in the last incarnation of the jungle (Spirit of [insert jungle camp here] ), at least as far as their purpose goes (one for cd-ad champs, one for mages, one for tanks) and the equivalent to devourer was wriggle's lantern. Minor differences aside, this was the same item, that encouraged the same playstyle (though Devourer was slightly better, read didn't outright punish you for actually ganking) and, big surprise, caused the EXACT same problems with the EXACT SAME champions.

Therefore it amazed the shit out of me that Riot would decide to make a jungle item rework (again) only to step into the same pile of poop.

Furthermore, it was around that time that Riot announced they wanted to battle the omnipresent and overly strong snowballing in LoL, because, well, once one team got ahead, that team would also win without much competition in approximately 3 to 4 out of 5 cases.

So they introduced another snowball-item. Granted, the snowballing aspect was cut down massively in later incarnations of Devourer but that was just a glorious moment of WTFuckery.

And now they go back to another once-removed item. I wonder if we packed away the "Malady Monday"-memes too early.

But I won't lie, I'm glad that they FINALLY did what untold fuckloads of players advised them to do for years. Let's see where this is going.

Bloodrazor is good. Doing % health dmg is great for clearing camps.
