The best explanation for Aurelion Sol

So, the more I think about the humongous disparities in Aurelion Sol's size across media, the more it bugs me. Based on game/art/trailers, etc, he could be anywhere from the size of a truck to the size of a star system. That's not the kind of size range that can be easily explained away.

So I was thinking, maybe his size is dependent on how nourished he is by starlight. I've always wondered why he makes stars. Perhaps he plants the seeds of stars in space, and then, when they grow to full size, he harvests their starlight in order to nourish himself. He's basically a star-farmer. And when he is fully gorged on stellar energy, he can potentially grow to the size of a moon.

However, maybe when he became enslaved by the Targonians, the first thing they did was to ensure he couldn't absorb too much starlight, because they feared that if he nourished himself he would be able to grow to his full size, break his psychic leash and turn the catastrophic wrath of a fully energised star dragon on them. So they keep him chained up in a cavern beneath Mount Targon, shielded from starlight, and only let him loose when they need him to destroy something. As a result of being kept in the cavern and denied starlight, Aurelion's size has shrunk to his in-game size (i.e. around the size of a large truck). Being weakened in this way would also make it conceivable for Runeterra's other champions to have a chance in a fight against him.

I think this would be a cool direction to take Aurelion's lore in. He spends most of his time chained under Mount Targon, his only visitor being Zoe, who annoys him but he is nevertheless glad to see because she at least keeps him company. Whenever the Targonians want Sol to carry out an errand for them, they allow him to leave the mountain. But each time he leaves the mountain and flies out under the Runeterran sky, he absorbs a small amount of starlight, grows a tiny bit larger, and the chains holding him weaken...
