Who is Leagues main Antagonist?

So, a while ago i made a post saying that the Darkin were the main antagonists of league of legends. I was proven wrong, so like the idiot I am, I'm going to try again with a different approach.

  1. The Void The Void serves as Leagues "Eldritch Horror" area and packs a pretty bug punch. With its Endless Army of Voidborn and The mysterious Watchers leading it, the void is a pretty good candidate for Supreme villain. It serves as the main antagonist of Freljord, and Shurima (via Icathia). Its Current Goal is the Destruction of all existence. Pros: Unending Ammount of Voidborn, Unkillable, Omnipresent, Can adapt to any situation Cons: Needs time to adapt, Watchers cannot enter Physical Realm without Immense Preparation, 2.The Darkin Leagues "Demon" champions. 5 incredibly powerful Ascended who were sealed in their own weapons with Targonian Magic. Their Current goal is the Destruction of all existence. Pro's: Unkillable, Experienced in Blood Magic, Extremely Powerful Cons: Most are Currently Trapped in their weapons, Can be overwhelmed with a numbers advantage 3.Mordekaiser This is pretty much the best the best competitor for the title we have had yet to see. He Is leagues "Plans within Plans" Character, going as far to plan for his defeat and rely on it as part of his plan. His Current goal is Activating the Immortal bastion to Rebuild the afterworld in his image. Pros: Unkillable, Extremely powerful Necromancer, Physical Strength, Army of Spirit warriors Cons: Not much, other than the fact that he is currently trapped in the Death realm.

Why do you think there is a main antagonist?

So let's review it...

Is there a "main antagonist" to begin with? That would imply everyone is focused against a single enemy/threat, which is not the case, and will likely never be.

There are several antagonists, as there are several plots.

The Void has been referred to several times as the biggest threat looming over Runeterra. That's totally understandable. But you can't call it "main antagonist" because not everyone is focused on figthing it (it is even likely not everyone is aware of it). Maybe I'm wrong to do so, but I dissociate "main antagonist" from "main threat." The Void is a threat to everyone, but it's not the main antagonist to everyone (at least, to me).

The Darkin are a huge threat, true, but we have yet to see what they can truly do (in the present, I mean), and we'd also need to see the rest of them.

Now, Mordekaiser... Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd view Xerath as a bigger threat than Mordekaiser is. But well, we don't know enough yet. Maybe it's just me, but so far he hasn't conveyed the feeling of threat people say he is. But as I said, I'll just wait until more of him is revealed to render my judgement, but I think he's neither unstoppable nor unkillable.

Anyway, there isn't one 'Runeterra antagonist,' there are many antagonists to many places. Plus how do you define an antagonist?

Is Zed an antagonist of Ionia? He's trying to protect it, his methods are just... Bs. Or is Syndra? She's arguably the biggest threat looming over Ionia (well, once she gets out of her vacuum), yet she's just marginalized, in a place where the "Ionian society" was just never kind to her.

I guess you could say it'll all depend on where their stories will go of course - if Syndra decides to go full berserk on Ionia on her own (gods forbid), she'll be the antagonist. But what if she meets more Ionian people who push her even deeper in this path of darkness she's on right now? Who's the antagonist then?

Anyway I'm using the Syndra example because it's what I know best (plus it's a bit unfair because it all comes back to how we see things morally), but I'm sure you can find many examples, plus I totally digressed from the original point.

Excuse me? He is the 'plans within plans' character? You literally stole Lissandra's quote lul jk, I still think it's the void

I don't think the lore wants to have a "main bad guy" since its not just a tiny story with few characters and plots in it.

Or you know, the watchers?

In the sense that The Universe consists of multiple storylines comprising a single larger narrative, the Void/Watchers make the most immediate sense as an overarching threat.
