What do you think each of the factions has to say about trans rights?

Hi I'm just wondering. I'm thinking Piltover especially would be accepting, and Noxus and Demacia too. But I really can't think of anywhere where being trans wasn't acceptable. What do you think.

Where the hell did this even come from?!?

Fine then. Noxus- "I don't care I just wanna capture lands and expand the empire." Demacia- "I don't care, we have Sylas on the loose and we need to re-capture/kill him." Void- "I don't care, I just wanna turn off the damn light and go back to sleep." Shadow Isles- "I don't care, I just wanna shadow people alive." Bandle City- "I don't care, I got Yordle things to do." Bilgewater- "I don't care, I'm too busy with Pyke hunting my ass." Freljord- "I don't care, I got a family to feed." Ionia- "I don't care, I got a country to rebuild." Ixtal- "I don't even know where I came from. But I don't care." Piltover- "I don't care, I got technology to advance." Zaun- "I don't care, I got Mundo to hunt down before he does another doctor shit." Shurima- "I don't care, I got sand in my shoes and it's annoying af." Targon- "I don't care, I got some star shit to do."

This social justice non-sense is so stupid. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I don't think that any of them care. Noxus only cares about strength and Demacia only cares about magic. The Vastaya just do whatever. The Freljord value the community in general, while almost everywhere else are hella neutral over everything. The only faction I see caring even a bit is Bilgewater, and that's just because of the brothels.

With Respect. Do you want the truth? It's impossible for them to say anything bad about them because it's such a hot issue in our real world. Which is completely unrealistic to Runeterra.

That is why it's not a good idea to add in sensitive politics into a fantasy universe. For a story narrative to be realistic there has to be counter sides, counter arguments but for THIS. That is impossible for Riot to add. So I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole. And Riot shouldn't have ether.

The world of Runeterra doesn't even know that concept in itself.

ANY discussions about the topic of trans is just IRL topic being attempted to be inserted into the fictional world knowing fully well that pushing political agendas is largely blacklisted (IF not necessarily prohibited) because of how much conflict and backlash it can create.

Please don't try it. You're just begging for low effort hate comments that will ultimatedly cause the mods to lock/delete the post over uncivilized derailing.

I like to think Trans people don't exist in Runeterra. Everyone is born into their preferred genders by default. Gender dysphoria doesn't exist and no one has to suffer it.

Particularly, It's really irrelevant to the lore.

I think that Zaun and Piltover are all about Transhumanism and should support people with that ideology such as Viktor, Camille and Oriana.

Sure thing, not everyone in Piltover acept them, Jayce is clearly against that. But most of people in those places use technological things to enchance their bodies. Metal is perfection after all.

Wait... you are not talking about that?... oh... okay...

I'd expect Runeterra in general to be more open to anything LGBT, because there hasn't been a thousands-of-years-old religion shaping minute details of daily life throughout the world. There are some old-ass religions, older than most real-life religions in fact, but we haven't seen them dictate identity, or sexual or romantic preference. I think it's unlikely that they would. (Abrahamic religion is fucking weird, yo.)

I don't really understand why this post is getting downvotes. The voting system isn't supposed to be a "I don't like this" popularity contest, but whether or not it's a proper conversation to have. And I think that this is a pretty great conversation to have involving social politics of a fantasy world vs the real world.

Given that they don't have the religions we have here, I don't think someone has a problem with it.

Tbh, even though it's a very tricky subject, i feel there are very few instances in Runeterra where trans people might be actively discouraged or oppressed. Demacia's nobility might be one i guess? They seem to conform strictly to gendered roles outside of military service so i guess that might be one? Noxus... doesn't feel like it would care, as long as you prove useful to the empire. Shurima could theoretically not mind, Taliyah was supposed to represent a trans character back during her development so this might still be part of the canonical behavior of Shuriman tribes, even if she's considered cis right now. Ionia would also be pretty welcoming i think? I suppose the spiritual feeling of an individual might be considered more important than the genitals they were born with? Zaun is pretty much a victorian/punk fantasy so it shouldn't be a problem in there as well. I feel like Piltover wouldn't change much in that regard. Freljord maybe? Considering how strong it's the idea of a Warmother, as in, a woman leader capable of leading her tribe, they might have some issues with gender theory? That's entirely speculative though. For all we know they might not care at all. Bilgewater is literally a pirate city-state so i don't really think something like that would matter in the grand scheme of things. Targon? Depends... Mortal Targon might have something against trans people? You know, religious zealots and all... Spiritual Targon probably doesn't even have a concept of gender, supposing the Aspects are completely alien to human physicality.
