So Sett is a human looking Vastayan guy who is this charming, edgy anime boss guy?

I personally hoped for some more animal/beast/golem appearance. Something more like SETT: The Vastayan Nightmare or something._ "Coming at night and feed from poor Vastayans some time later captured for fighting as a monstrosity in fighting pits." _

His kit looks straight forward which isn't a bad thing. Even he looks a bit like Vi 2.0 i don't mind that in general but i hoped for more.

He looks like a vastayan Garen with more brain and better looks.

Why not at least a badass who kinda looks good but is more rugged with many scars in some dark leather outift. :(

Beside that Sett isn't that original either and sounds really like either Seth or Zed.

Dissapointed.

In my view it's like they wanted a brawler and looked up generic brawler designs and added ears and said there Vastayan. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to make this guy from the customisation in Tekken 7 using Miguel as the base model just minus the ears.

Thing is, it makes sense. It's safe, easy to make and sell skins for.

I have a theory about that. Sett wasn't made with LoL in mind originally, but with the fighting game set on Runeterra they are developing, because they needed more hand to hand fighters. That would explain also why the promotional art of Sett was showing an Ionian arena.

He's hot and looks fun as hell.

Badass, but a simple badass. We've had a lot of mythical badasses and mythical non-badasses. Magical cats and meme-killing ghost wives and magical hobos and a ditto and a twinkish walking armory. Sett being fairly simple, both in kit and in...well...everything is a nice change of pace.

That, and being hot is a nice plus >w>

To be honest, once they said he fought in pit matches, I expected a muscly, burly man; 50/50 on whether he had an animal head or not. I don't know why people were expecting some monstrous guy. He has to appeal to an audience of humans in-universe so I figured he would mostly look human. Maybe that was just me though.

I do wish the ears were a little more pronounced, at the very least. I think his furred collar is feathers though. He actually has similar physical traits to Xayah, I could easily believe Sett's mother was from the same tribe.

Minotaurs are exotic prisoners of war. Its like when the Romans used lions in the Colosseum; it was for a cool fight with exotic, nobody was actually rooting for the lions (well...I'm sure some people were but its not like the lions were the intended stars of the show).

Alistar never wanted to fight, he was forced to. Unlike Sett, who fights for the fame and the money.

I think the fur coat is his own fur. Also, I think the fancy white pants kind of represent his newfound wealth and how he's spending excessively because he can now.

Then why not buy a decent shirt, make a better haircut and there are nice trousers which are expensive looking which aren’t white. Wearing white as a fighter (not talking about this WWE stuff) is not the best thing tbh.

LoL is made the general public now, and this kind of aesthetic sells better. All the girls at my school play LoL but never Dota2. Why? They say monsters are ugly.

Because Lol is vastly more popular and succesful on all aspects than Dota2 will ever be.

Last year Lol was again the most watched game on Twitch and ppl are here still calling it a dying game.

The thing with Sett looking like a human Vastayan, is that he is. Simply put. His mother is Vastayan, similar to that of Xayah with looking human but with the animal like features (which we can tell from his in-game joke), and his father is just a Noxian human. So he pulled mostly human looking genes, with the slight amount of animal features that his Vastayan heritage brought.

If you wanna look at it from 'business' view, yeah, they made Ahri but a guy probably for money. If you look at it from the story view, it makes sense on why he is so human looking.
