Foilhat Theory on Darkin

OK, so we know some stuff about Darkin. Three are openly known now in the champion pool between Aatrox, Rhaast, and Varus. There are hints that there are Five Darkin, while thematically they mirror the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

While Rhaast and Aatrox are pretty clearly Death and War, while Varus isn't Famine, there has been debate if Varus is Conquest or Pestilence with the question being "which version of the Four Horsemen are they drawing from?"

First answer, they are using all 5. If there are 5 Darkin, why make up a new addition when there are two interpretations of one of the Horsemen? This way, we can properly deduce Varus is Pestilence. Thanks to his kit and lore it clearly shows he is an avenger, not a conqueror, and that he uses pestilence much like a famous Greek god used arrows and disease as his weapons.

So then, now the big shocker.

The Fourth Darkin is already in the game. We have Aatrox, who is either a still living Darkin original or a full fledged corrupted host, representing War. Rhaast actively struggles with Kayn and they serve as Death. Varus is in some far less pervasive stage of corruption as Pestilence. Conquest, ironically, was conquered by a mortal of such might and thirst, that it's name has been lost. It is wielded now with a new name, Nightfall, the weapon of Mordekaiser, the Fourth "Darkin" of Conquest. He may have seemed a perfect host of ambition and power to corrupt, but this man was shockingly so willful he couldn't be possessed, and now the weapon is doomed to be wielded by the Revenant until his cult can be rooted out totally and prevented from resurrecting their master and the mace can be passed on to find a host.
