Please Update All Item Icons <3

Riot has done several visual improvements to the UI and the game in general, but I think there is one area that has been almost forgotten: the item icons. A lot of the items still have their original icons, which clashes with the rest of the game and leads to lower clarity.

A good example of how it should be done for every item icon is what happened to Infinity Edge:

The old one is flat and cartoony, while the new icon adds depth and a more lively lightning effect.

Will the art team at Riot update them soon? It is a realatively easy task, but adds a more consistent and professional look.

I think they've only updated the ones they've done so far when they have the resources available. It's probably not a high priority over other things.

I'd love to see so many icons updated though

Uhhhhhh, given the latest design decisions of those at riot, I'd have to say please no don't update any icons, logos, or anything ever again

I would like as now just to update all of the item icons with white edges at the corners, If they can't update all of the outdated icons. I know they are more important things to update, but that small changes will make the shop a bit fresh.

the icons were done by interns i think as a way to do something small for the game and see what they can do.

That's a reason why they aren't changed. They fit among the others and they're recognizable to players, they serve their purpose.

The issue is also on that is excessively, personal preference about what you personally like and how you feel about it. I mean, you condemn the previous artist's work on IE as being "flat and cartoony" but yet you post those boots as an example of how it should be done. You prefer the cartoony boots while I'm sure that other preferred the runes on I.E. rather than the "this-is-text" squiggle because these things are icon sized.

Some of these items got reworked and that is why their icons are different. If anything, you should be asking for them to go back to the old IE icon because it's now functioning like the old IE again instead of the true damage version.

For whatever reason Riot decided to update Ruby Crystals icon item 1028 but not Sapphire Crystals icon item 1027
