Battlecast Illaoi won the vote

The skin won the vote that was available for everyone to vote on. It won while also being the most popular option between people that actually play the champ, myself included. Yet I am seeing a lot of negativity around the result. They call it unoriginal, while they praise Adventurer. Adventurer's concept is not original. The skin itself is unoriginal because it remained too similar to the base skin. Deep space sounds like a cool idea. Th tentacles looked pretty decent. But the skin itself is just a spacesuit and a scary looking illaoi head. That could be pretty much any champion in that suit.

The battlecast skin looks unique to her other skins. It shows off her muscular body which delivers on making her feel powerful. Tentacle is unique. Story fits because she is fighting a bunch of machines that have stagnated because they think they are perfect. I love having the opportunity to vote for my favorite champ's skin and I don't like the negativity from people that have probably barely played her. I know I'm not alone because Riot provided the back up for me from fellow mains of Illaoi.

I'll sit here all day and debate why battlecast is the best choice of the three. Do me a favor and say something more than "ugh its ugly". Give some actually feedback.

Well BC got 45% of the votes,so 55% of players didn't get what they wanted. So of course there are those who complain.

And I agree that while adventurer was a nice idea,it looked too similar to the base skin in terms of color scheme.

Why don't you do the same? Saying, Adventurer, is unoriginal and looks like the base is nothing, as it does not look anything like the base. Adventurer is an Indiana jones style theme, we don't have those in here. She'd be out looking for treasure! Has vines and a golden idol for weapons.

Her base is WATER themed. She's a Kraken priestess, summoning her GOD, and it has TENTACLES.

Battlecast isn't original as there are 7 other skins in this theme (Kog, Vel, Urgot, Cho, Skar, Xerath, Viktor) . It's Boring. Overdone addes nothing new to the game.

Protip: I don't care if you're happy with the results and I don't care if you play Illaoi more than me, I still wanted Adventurer.

In this way, the voting system was flawed to begin with and was guaranteed to breed a ton of disappointment.

hey i was voting for deep space due to the tentacles, but battlecast is a great addition.

But how much battlecry does the game actually need? It kinda cheapens the already existing battlecry when they just add more of it. Hextech and project already feel not special because of it. The only themes that feel ok to.donwide spread are ones like holiday themes. "Unique" themes stop being special when their content gets saturated.

But this IS the problem. First off, the idol looks dumb. It looks like Riot asked a 10year old to draw a robot head, and that hand on top of the tentacle? Don't make me laugh. It's disgustingly ugly. Thematically, battlecast is also overused. Don't need more of it. To give you some more feedback, I also do not like that the battlecast skin sexualizes Illaoi. Sorry, but there are enough sluts in this game, and I like my Illaoi to be different than the rest of the weaklings.

Could the battlecast skin be amazing? absolutely. But Riot needs to go in a different direction. Think the sentinel from the matrix. Idol should be something much cooler and more slick, like the sentinel head, and the tentacles should look like the actual mechanical tentacles flowing behind the sentinel ... THAT would be awesome. This cartoony crap? No thank you.

The Idol is so essential to Illaoi. She slams people and towers with it, rips people's soul out with it. I don't need it to look like an ugly blocky cartoony robot head. Both the other skins had amazing looking idols!
