Welcome to "Facts, Myths and Theories", a weekly series, here on the boards, that is trying to crack the lore wide open! I take what we know, what we don't know and mesh those together to try and solve the mysteries within the League of Legends lore. I hope you enjoy it!

"What is 'Facts, Myths and Theories'?"

"Facts, Myths and Theories" is a weekly series that dedicates itself to try and find out all the mysteries in League of Legends lore. It is always based off of facts and each topic is always researched very carefully. Of course, in the end, what I make here are theories and personal opinions. It is also meant to create an active discussion about various lore topics for any summoner to enjoy.

"When do new discussions come out?"

I try to do them every week, on Wednesday, but there may be some weeks where I can't make the deadline or weeks where I simply can't write a discussion.

How do you decide what to talk about?

Sometimes, I'll discuss a topic that fits with an ongoing League event, but most of the time I will talk about something that inspires me to write about it. The poll is a good way for me to get ideas and also know what you guys would like to see. If you suggest a cool topic, I'll probably do it sometime.

"Can I suggest a topic?"

YES PLEASE!!! Seriously, you help me so much if you suggest a topic for me to talk about in the comments. The ones that are already in the poll don't last forever you know? So please, if you have a topic that you'd like for me to discuss, suggest away! I thank you for that!

That being said, please suggest something I can talk about and not just something that is already solved and doesn't allow space for creativity. Also, suggest topics that are meaningful and impactful at the moment. For example, if a new Shadow Isles champion comes out, you could suggest a Shadow Isles-related discussion.

"Can I give feedback?"

Sure! Tell me if I chose the right quotes, if they were too long, if the image dividers I put weren't up to scale with the other ones, if the post was longer than the usual amount, if you'd like for a longer "Myths" section, my jokes weren't funny... anything you can think of! I appreciate all the help I can get!

"I like your theory. Can I make a video or post based on it?"

Well, I would appreciate for you to ask permission, but if you just mention and link the discussion you're basing your video/post on, it's fine. It's super fine! IT'S UBER AWESOME!!

"I dislike your theory/I have my own theory. What do I do?"

Well, this is my personal opinion and I love talking to fellow theorists, so if you have your own theory or dislike my theory, just head down to that comment section and share your thoughts! I love reading all of your comments, even if I don't reply.

"The lore department sucks AMIRITE?!"

Well, that's your opinion, but my discussions are not the place to talk about that. I'd like to keep the positivity and discussion of the topics at hand in the comment section, without it turning into a complain-fest.

I've heard a lot about there being a relationship between Zilean and Volibear. I don't know what it is, or if there even is one. So it would be cool to see a post about that so I can se what that's all about.

Hey uh Dial just a request and or advice. Don't do another romance thing ,just stay away from it completely. I seriously do not want to deal with that ever again. The amount of hate that comes from some of these people is just ridiculous.

Ok here goes my theory about Zed. It's actually a total mix of what I heard and this is what struck me right after watching Redmercy's Nocturne=Zed theory film. So let's go back to the "three pain theories". I would be in for the first one, the emotional pain one and here is why: When the Master takes Zed into the temple he actually showes him the future (idea taken from one of youtube comments) and that he is going to change into a monster - Nocturne. Zed realizes that Master's vision is true and cries out in despair, trying to overcome what has corrupted his mind. Unfortunately, by the time he tries that, the shadows grew stronger in him and take control over his body. The shadows kill the Master and throw his head at Shen's feet. Scream of rage may either be Zed's last desperate try to regain control, or the victory of shadows.

That's what I think could happen there, though as I think of it more - the pain in this way could be of all three kinds you mentioned. Anyway, thanks for the series, can't wait for more!

I love your posts. It's lore and ideas like this that I love about League of Legends' characters. I feel this is almost more important that the game itself. That said, any chance you could look into Udyr and Ao Shin? Udyr is my favorite champ, and this has been on my mind so much that I made my own theory about it (before I knew your posts). I would love to see this looked into more.

How about Sona? after all she was just placed infront of a foster home, without any other information. As one of my favorite champions, I would really love to see something :'D Don't need to though, but I think she would be a nice champion to analyse..

I want to add a possible discussion material since I'm really liking your series :)

The thing being:

A passage of the short new lore of Ezreal is that his tool for magics seemed to be done for the use of Ascended beings... SAY WHAT! Did we really miss it till now with all the rage/passion the Shurima event and lore retcon has brought?

Up untill now we saw Ascended using their own inner power without the use of other tools... so what is this thing? The options are multiple:

  • Was this item being crafted for the Ascension of Azir as the first emperor to become Ascended?
  • Was the Ascension ritual being retried after the destruction that Xerath brought?
  • Was this item actually a creation of Xerath himself?
  • Can somehow the power of ascension be connected with tools other than ppl?

I have a theory about the Shadow Isles and what occurred there. I was thinking that since the release of Kalista, one of her quotes say something about the king that used to rule the Shadow Isles. Or is it the Shadow Isles before then. My thoughts are that the Shadow Isles are really where all life began. The king used to rule them all, as said by Kalista. His horseman is what is currently Hecarim. Somehow, he was overthrown and killed, hence the ruined king, and left his blade behind, the item in the shop of the game, Blade of the Ruined King. What was once the origin of all life became a dark mysterious place that no one in present day dared to venture into. The life created at the isles spread out and migrated to Valoran. Since that day, the isles were named the Shadow Isles. And I guess Kalista is living proof of those events (not really, she's dead xD) The creatures in the Shadow Isles are mutated into what we know as monsters, such as Hecarim, or Evelynn. I would like to guess that they have been given life by another force that transformed the Shadow Isles.

Anyways, those were my thoughts on the Shadow Isles. Hope you could try and explain this in full detail in another post.

This is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad I found it, the Jinx/Vi one especially is what drug me here and I had forgotten that jinx went by X to be honest. I'm really hoping you'll do the Lunari vs Solari one, but would like to throw in a little topic to address along with it if you don't mind.

Diana/Leona is a pretty common ship, do you think they are (ex) girlfriends? On top of that do you think it's Leona leaving for the league that was the trigger for Diana becoming a Heretic (Since Leona is protective of 'weaker' people, in her lore and judgement. It stands to reason she would defend the little scholar girl). I've read a lot of fan theories/ships/fanfiction that point out Diana may have originally begun actively researching the Lunari as a way to be Leona's equal due to an inferiority complex with her lover as much as a love of Lore and would love to see what you can dig up. Look, i have something to ask about: In the Spirit Guard Udyr Comic you can see Ao Shin (the dragon) as an evil presence that chalanges Udyr. Why is he there?? Why is he doing it? And more mysterious is that Udyr talks about something powerfull in the temple.. something that most of the evil creatures want for their own. I dont think that i am the only one who wants to know that and my imagination and intelligence are not as good as yours. Please, can you answer me in a discusion if possible?? It would be so great. With all the respect for the good work, DAMN RivenSenpai.

Garen would win easy. His jump strike would combine his strength and weight into a devastating blow. Also his armor is thick enough that you either need to be the hulk, use a magic attack or have major armor pierce. And even if it did cut through Garen is almost impossible to kill. (800 hp at lvl 1)

The reworked warwick has some interesting and unusual taunts towards Jinx, like "You were there" and "Please let me forget", so there's that.
