I don't have the link to it, but didn't Riot say that there was gong to be a death in the lore later this year? We haven't heard anything about it, and its been quite a while since the ask riot they mentioned it in. Is it still happening? Is it going to be tied to the Shurima or Shaodw Isles as they got a lore revamp? Did I just miss it like an idiot???

I don't believe anyone ever said there would be death guaranteed of a champion or anything, but it's certainly a possible story angle that Riot's said they're more than open to exploring.
Some side characters died in Vekaura, Elise killed some folks, Skarner did some murder, but no champions deaths thus far beyond those who's death was a part of their story arc (a la any undead/unliving champion).
i know shuriman lore is coming in 2017 so either
