How is the Instant Feedback System Supposed to work?

So, my friend was recently suspended over a game. He was being toxic, he was cursing, using offensive slurs, the works. Thing is, so was his team. I was spectating the game, and he told me the things his team said to him. So I'm wondering, where is the like drawn? Why is it OK for his team to curse him out, afk, and call him slurs, and, as far as I know, avoid punishment, and he can't? I'm obviously a little biased, but I can't help but think something is a little off.

Simple. If an individual crosses the very clear lines, the individual faces punishment by the IFS.

Your friend broke the rules and got suspended. If his teammates also broke the rules (and were reported for doing so), they will also get the appropriate punishments.

Each person is judged individually. Doesn't matter what others said, you are responsible for you and you alone. If they were reported, they got something too. Keep in mind that each person is on his/her own punishment tracking and when someone actually gets punished, only the last person to report them gets a notification.

Amount matters as well. Insulting a teammate in 1 game is not the same as insulting a teammate in ten.

" Why is it OK for his team to curse him out, afk, and call him slurs, and, as far as I know, avoid punishment, and he can't?" It's not that it is OK, they just haven't gotten punished yet. (Assuming that they actually haven't).

If your friend has accumulated such a history of doing such things in game, to the point where he gets suspended for it, it doesn't matter that he got to that point before other people.
