Changing the skin art that people pay RP for is not fair. I wish i could get a refund.

I know this may not be a big deal to most people. When i purchased Safari Caitlyn I did it because i like how shes sitting on a log holding a teacup. I find it very unique and i simply had to have it. They changed the art and now shes just in a safari outfit. I would not have spent RP on this. They also changed cottontail teemo and i also would not have paid for this.

Riot should allow us to get refunds on skins that they change. How is that fair that i spent RP/Money on skins that they changed that i would not have paid for the way they look now.

What are you talking about!? You can change your champion splash arts at will! The loading splashes requires a bit more work, but is perfectly doable.

I also reverted the King of Clubs Mordekaiser splash art (not that I will ever buy the skin myself):

...it got changed because some religious softie took too many in the feels by the cross, so it got changed. It was all the reason I needed to go back to the "illegal" version shown above.

Zyra, Fiora, Kayle, Sivir, DJ Sona, Vayne, Shyvana, Irelia and likely more, which I can't remember off-hand, have recieved either a new splash art or a reversion.

VO mods, custom login screens, custom skins, mapmods...I do all of the above. And all of it verified within the game regulations.

With that out of the way, I wanna whine too about how PAX Sivir got ruined with her rework. Fair enough, her model was clunky and her kit outdated, but her PAX skin actually looked better pre-rework. It used to look like something from Tron: Legacy, with sharp contrasts and a fancy look...now it just looks like something from the original Tron movie from 1982. It looks, in a word, "dull", like most other things in this game with the current graphics style. Yeah, I want the old SR back too. And the old Fiora. And lots of items.

Also, Sivir's old dance was better: It made no sense, but still looked cool - the current one just makes no sense... And Sivir's current champion selection emote is so cringy, it makes me wanna throw stuff at my speakers! So that's next on the mod list to make go away (reversion, preferably).

Just be happy they didn't trash-bin the in-game model of a skin you paid for and then flip you the bird when you ask for a refund. They did that to me when the god-awful Fiora rework went live. It was so poorly received that they actually put up a back-patting post mentioning how much hate they got over it (and making excuses for themselves... and not changing it back), but they still wouldn't give me a refund. Nor will they give you a refund. They will just change what you paid for and shrug as they count your money.

Riot doesn't care, they got your money and they're keeping it.

That's the thing though, Riot isnt obliged to take it back in the first place. We all have to agree to that under the Terms and Conditions.

Isnt that why we buy a skin in the first place? i dont buy a skin thinking, oh they're gonna change this later and i may not like it. I buy it because i like the way it looks at that moment in time.

I'm merely trying to say that i wish there was an option to get an rp refund for when they pull the switcheroo on skins that i or anyone else really liked. I understand that there is no option for that and i am not expecting my RP back. Something needs to be said tho. So i hope all the downvoters have your menstrual items securely in place for tonight. And I wish that cottontail teemo will quietly prance on your windowsills tonight, lay some eggs so that they're fresh and they still have his fluidly film on them and throw them at your faces while you sleep.

I would like there to be an option to have a refund for a skin that they change. I understand that the splash art only lasts for about a minute while the screen loads but its one of the reasons why i buy skins. Someone mentioned earlier that they only care about the in game changes and effects. Well i mentioned before that its not going to be a big deal to most people.

I find it very interesting that there so many people that disapprove of this idea considering how many down votes there are. I feel as though it is not a big deal and i understand if it will never happen and i'm sure many other skins will change. They changed Giant enemy crabgot, but he still has remained mostly the same. However, once again, i feel like something at least needs to be said. Seems to be a very sensitive crowd that i have reached out to and bothered. Fortunately, most menstrual items can be kept in place for more than 24 hours so I hope that those of you that disapprove of my message have an easier time dealing with the uncomfortable comments for tonight. In addition to what can be browsed and admired in the client at any time. That's not a clear answer - like I said further up, splash arts can be changed at will.

Especially when what is apparently the most desired solution is so readily available.

Listen, you're absolutely right. However, i take pleasure in showing other people the art in the skins that I've purchased. When they are changed and become something that i would not have spent the RP on, then there is a slight problem. I like to show off my skins. I do appreciate your assistance, i had no idea you could change things like that. I will look into it as it seems to be an option worth looking into. And thats a different cottontail teemo art, his face is weird... Regardless, the suggestion of the cream was not meant for you.

I got a backup of all of the splash arts that was present in the game in the old patch 5.1. Little did I know when I made it about how it would become such a goldmine, considering all the horrible placeholders that's been released since... While the new art style is technicaly superiour, it's not necessarily said it's better (beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all).

Like I have already said twice, replacing the current splashes with old ones is a 20 second job (if you have all the files on-hand). It's a piece of cake. A bit more if you want to change the loading splash too (will require 3rd party software, but is legal to do), but is perfectly doable and easily done.

Solution: Go to Google. Image Search - Safari Caitlyn Original Splash Art. Download. Put on your devices as backgrounds etc. Problem solved.

If you paid for the splash art as you said, well..there it is.

You buy skins for the splash you get to see for 1 minute while the game loads? That's very odd. I buy skins based on the in game model and the particle effects that I'm going to play with for 20-50 minutes.
