just curious since he calls rhaast weak and mocks varus and you know he controls his wielder pretty easily it seems compared to rhaast and varus needed two to get out of his imprisonment sorry i dont follow the lore as much since they removed alot off the client. Also is the old story true about how aatrox ripped off trynds arm anyone know where i can find that?
According to Riot balance team, yes he has been the strongest Darkin ever since the rework.
Aatrox has had to deal with body hopping for a good while, supposedly varus is newer, and rhaast... is a fresh hosted bahby darkin... or maybe the tween darkin due to all the edge...
He is the most accustomed to his host. Rhaast and Varus are pretty fresh. So right now, yeah, he's the strongest.

It's definitely implied that Aatrox could be. We know that not all Ascended were made equal, and Aatrox is said to have been one of the stronger ones (at least in terms of combat ability) before his imprisonment. It's possible that one of the two remaining could be a match for him, but right now, Aatrox is definitely the deadly of the three we have right now.
Depends on if Aatrox with his amalgamated body can beat Xerath. Don't really think Renekton would beat him though. I'd probably rank it like this;
If you want to include Nasus, he'd probably be at 3.
