Short summary lore in the client while the long main lore be on the website.
I honestly do not agree with this method of presenting champion lore. It's like putting the sketches of your artwork in the museum with a sign saying,"the actual artwork is at my house."(I think I read that Riot is going to post links at the end of the summaries to the main lore, which I guess is slightly better)
I honestly don't understand why you can't put everything in client. You don't want to bore people with walls of text? Why would they be in the LORE section if they aren't willing to read walls of text?Still don't want to bore people? Then present the lore in interesting ways like get Patrick Stewart (obviously this is a joke) to read it with relevant images in the background or something & do it IN CLIENT.
If the content is good, why not put it in client AND on the champions' page on the website. You're telling me you want to replace
story of him PUNCHING THROUGH A MOUNTAIN with some summary,"He's a moustache with a door.",because you don't want to bore people with walls of text?Post the MOUNTAIN PUNCHING everywhere for everyone & their moms to see!!
Now,I'm not here to hate on the lore team.I'm just here to say I disagree with this decision.I want the lore to be their in the client.Because as a gamer who values story & characters over most others aspect of a video game (games like Mass Effect, the Legend of Zelda & the Last of Us),I would prefer if you kept what little story/lore there is in client. You know I can't get it in this multiplayer PVP only game with no story or campaign mode.
As I said,I don't have anything against the lore team. They haven't don't anything that personally affected me..........(yet),so I have no reason to be angry with them.Though,I do observe the situation between them & lore fans.I just want to keep what little they have in client (actually I really hope they can EXPAND it,but that's a different topic).I you have confidence that the work is good, then put you artwork in the museum.People are in the museum because they ARE interested in seeing what's there.
