I want to talk about the Sejuani couchification, aka VU

Sejuani's lore talks extensively about why she dresses in as little as she does. Her people follow her, and believe her to be some kind of chosen one to lead the Freljord, for the exclusive reason that she wears so little. She went out into the cold wearing nothing, and she returned. Nobody should have been able to survive such exposure, but she did. She believes she is the chosen one to lead Freljord for this reason, and it's why her people follow her. It was never "just eye candy", it was an integral part of her character.

Now you have her wearing more fur than your average shag couch. She's wearing more fur than the boar. Why was she changed? Just to appease a vocal minority of SJWs? Why would her people believe her to be a chosen anything now? Ashe now wears less than she does. Maybe you guys wanted to make her outfit less "ridiculous", but you've absolutely killed her character in the process. And that's to say nothing of Tryndamere still running around wearing nothing. But I guess it's only "ridiculous" if it's a woman, right?

I know I'm late to this party, but I don't care. I want this back on Riot's radar. Make "traditional" the default skin, and do away with Couch Sejuani. Or maybe just shave Bristle and make it Reverse Sejuani. You're half way there.

riot and the posters who want her covered up are being chauvenistic......a naked girl in the ice competes too much with tryndamere for these ppl.....

I sorely and deeply miss the old sejuani. I refuse to play a game with Sejuani in it unless it's me with the Traditional Sejuani games. I have dodged ranked games, normal games, games with friends, ect. I will not play a game knowning that I'll have to see the butchered new sejuani. I am especially upset and offended by the Bear calvary skin the most. Not only did they make Bristle insignificant in her new lore, instead Riot went one salt into the open wound further and outright removed him in one of her skins.

I've even gone so far as to recreate her old champion select icons, and in game icons. When I pick her "Winter is coming" when I play her in game this is the icon I see http://i.imgur.com/5NtJ6Rj.png I refuse to believe that the butchering of Sejuani ever happened.

And the reason "She's an ice warrior" Meanwhile Olaf and Trundle are completely exposed, Ashe is in a miniskirt, then Tryndamere... Not to mention Lissandra is make of Ice...

I want to make something very clear to you

This was not something done to please "Social Justice Warriors" Infact it was done so much more of the OPPOSITE, rather the vocal males speaking out about how "stupid" she looked.

I am female, I push for strong female representation in video games, no I am not against sexy female characters, I love sexy female characters and I most certainly am a feminist in all rights. And look at my reaction to they way they "improved" sejuani.

I hate it, I loathe it, I am absolutely disgusted and upset by it. I sacrafice my LP ranking just so I don't have to see the new fake sejuani. I though she was fantastic, "skimmpy" clothing only seen by those who see women one single way. In my eye's she wasn't out of line, infact her clothing is very close to that of a Paleolithic Neaderthalensis with some cool added metal plating.

Don't bring your buzz words, don't bring your anti hype.

Sejuani was a strong female character and a woman after my own heart, then Riot went and made her a generic poorly motivated poorly voiced acted bland character that has nothing interesting about her.

As I see it, Sejuani trains with minimalistic clothing, which still jives with her firm belief of avoiding the road of comfort, but when the battle horn sounds, you can bet that she's suiting up. There's a fine line between not spoiling yourself, and turning down an advantage out of pride; Sejuani would know that line quite well, I think.

As much as I love my fan service, I do prefer the new Sej over the old (Her VO is fantastic and one of my favorites). The old Sej was a barbie in a bikini running around pretending to be a warrior vs the new Sej who actually fits that role.

Sure, the new Sej isnt as sexually appealing as the old but when 100% of all humanoid females in LoL (minus all those below 4ft) are suppose to be 'super hotties' having one female champion that isnt 'dolled up' makes her stand out as a superior design.

I think the decision to put more clothes on Sejuani was based more on gameplay and visuals than on lore. Sure, her lore justifies how she is able to survive Freljord's harsh climate with little to no clothes on. However, this doesn't have to represent itself in game, not necessarily. Having a Sejuani in-game in a bikini establishes her as a fanservice character, while having her in more armor establishes more as a tank, as the badass who dives in the middle of the enemy team slapping everyone's shit and surviving.

Trundle To be fair, Trolls don't really need armor due to their naturally thick hide and regenerative abilities. Armor would only get in Trundle's way and slow him down.

Ashe As for Ashe, she needs to be very light on her feet. I mean, she is an archer, and a hunter. She can't afford the excess clothes, as that foot speed is very important.

Tryndamere Trynd is one of those edge cases. On the one hand, yeah, it might be nice to maybe put on a shirt. On the other hand, when he is angry he is immune to death. He might wear that little to stay angry at everything in general and become immortal by default.

Anivia I'm really, really certain Anivia isn't bothered by lack of clothing. I mean, she's Articuno.

Lissandra Nunu Volibear Lissandra, Nunu, and Volibear are adequately clothed for the harsh environment. Volibear actually seems to be going a little over the top, but at the same time that might be for the sheer fear factor. What's worse than a full grown polar bear charging at you to make you into a bear treat? A heavily armored polar bear charging at you to make you into a bear treat

Sejuani Sejuani honestly, as much as I like the idea of being so comfortable in the cold as to wear a bikini and feel 'k in the middle of a blizzard, at the end of the day, that just isn't practical. I understand her current vestments aren't the ideal either, but the bikini was easily far more ridiculous than this.

she has a leather bra 2 fur shoulder pads and a fur skirt she is still wearing almost nothing. she is still the most exposed freljord champion

Sejuani wears imposing armor, not because she is weak or can't stand the cold, but because she is a leader and wearing that armor is both very imposing and intimidating, and also appropriate for keeping her alive. The Winter's Claw would fall apart if Sejuani were killed, so it is more than likely that she donned said armor, not necessarily because she prefers it, but for the sake of her people.

Comparing her to Ashe is pointless, Ashe is an archer and would never come into close quarters where armor is necessary. Olaf is probably the most realistically designed of all the freljord champions, since he is wearing a simple leather jerkin and pants, with boots and bracers and his helmet. That matches what most real Vikings wore. You cannot compare her to Trundle since he is an ice troll, not a human, and either way, Trundle wears armor and furs anyway. Tryndamere needs to be updated; his look is from when they basically had zero real lore for any of the locations and having a shirtless barbarian made sense. Now that the barbarians are from the Freljord, I think it would be much more appropriate to make them have more authentic apparel. I have no idea why Riot chose to make Braum shirtless, except for the fact that everyone who wanted a mustachioed strongman wanted him like that. He is really a farmer, and It would be better to have him at least look a little like he ever was one. He does also have a giant unbreakable shield, so he could have decided to forgo armor in favor of just using the shield, so that he didn't have any unnecessary weight to haul around.Nunu, I don't even know if he counts, he needs lore updates and VU to match.Lissandra is from a completely different era, and is also not a front line fighter, so her appearance and lack of armor are appropriate.Udyr is technically a Freljord champion, but he actually is wearing full robes and a giant wolf fur over his head. Spirit Guard Udyr is only bare chested because it represents him after moving to Ionia to meditate.

Basically, each of the other Freljord champion is an individual case and should not be lumped together as a whole. The other humanoid melee champions from the Freljord are all the way they are for a reason, and Sejuani wears armor for her own reasons. Tryndamere becomes unkillable, so he doesn't need the armor (weakest explanation, imo they should VU him with a shirt or armor), Olaf wears light weight armor appropriate to his goal of getting himself killed in battle, Trundle is a troll and wears armor, Braum doesn't need the armor because of his door/shield, and Sejuani wears armor because, according to her lore, her tribe is nothing without her leadership meaning they should take the precaution of guaranteeing that she doesn't die.Their appearances also match their in game play styles. Tryndamere is super squishy when his ult isn't up (fitting since he has not armor), Olaf tries to get himself killed but can't due to his curse, high damage and squishy, but sustains through it like an actual berserker, Trundle is just tanky anyway, and wears appropriate armor for his role, Braum is squishy when his enemies aren't just hitting his shield. Sejuani is tanky, and it is appropriate that she should wear armor, since it reflects to players at a glance what kind of champion she is.

You cannot compare Sejuani to the Amazonian warrior women you seem to think she ought to be, because those are just hyper fantasized champions that are utterly unrealistic. Real Amazons wore the same type of armor as every other warrior in their time period, and weren't imbeciles running around in bikinis, but real hardcore warriors. Additionally, since they were from the then semi tropical area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, they are not analogous to Sejuani in that way either. The norse women who would be closest to Sejuani in terms of appearance, were almost NEVER warriors, and those that were (there are a few rather notable cases of female raid leaders) usually wore armor virtually identical to the men they lead.
