Ideas for In Game Lore

Obviously the old lore was ditched years ago, and now the actual League of Legends has no real backstory. Which is fine, since the idea of cosmic level entities acting as puppets to fight over petty disputes was a little hard to believe. And honestly Riot may continue to ignore this for another 5 years, because it really doesn't impact anything. But does anyone have any ideas for ways to actually add a story to the battles that happen on Summoner's Rift?
