Would you report your jungler for playing without smite?

Our sejuani loaded into the game with heal instead of smite, and when I asked if she would go afk to let us remake she thought I was crazy. Long story short she had a real bad time, was 2-3 levels behind the enemy jg all game, but our Jinx went off and carried hard, ended the game something like 14-1. Sej ended up not really doing anything at all, but I didn't report her because she did end up playing. The only time I ever forgot smite when I was autofilled jg, I left right away to allow a remake, and I know others have done that before in my games as well. Would you report someone for playing jg without smite? On one hand she did play the game out, it's not like she was inting or being toxic. But on the other hand, she was an anchor that only got by because the enemy jungler was awful. If Jinx hadn't done so well we almost certainly would have lost that game because for most of the time it was a 5v4. Just curious what others would have done

If it is obvious the jg is not trolling and may just accidentally forgot to take smite, why would you report?

Besides, even if you do report, the system would not punish said jg anyway (assuming no other chat toxicity offense present).

Personally, I wouldn't even ask him/her to purposely dodge so we can remake. One game is not worth forcing someone to get ding by LeaveBuster on purpose.

Assuming it's not intentional, probably not.

It's a big ask for somebody to go AFK for you. They may have fucked up and cost you dearly in terms of your chances of winning the match, but AFKing would cause them to automatically lose LP AND the leaver penalty. I'd understand them preferring to try their best to win despite the disadvantage.

By the way, even though I never jungle, I ALWAYS double-check my jungler's summs before a game. Ideally the jungler fixes it themselves, but if they don't, I remind them with a solid 30 seconds to react. It's an easy thing to do, and has virtually eliminated forgetful junglers from my matches.

Nah, accidents happen and I'm not going to report someone for making an accident like that. Who among us has jungled and never done that before?

No, I offer to duo lane or duo jungle till they get on their feet(I play toplane or support usually). Because it's mostly the early clear and objective control you need smite for. You don't need smite to win. You just need one person to not be a selfish judgmental asshole and help their teammate. Remember, generally they aren't the only person who didn't notice in lobby. Any other player could have warned them.

No most likely not. Not sure why you would b/c the game wasn't ranked and you didn't do anything that game anyway.

I would not, but I would personally dodge if I forgot smite and once dodged a game where the jungler forgot smite because one of the teammates said he was in promo's.

Quite frankly, I consider it rather shitty to not dodge in that situation because you screw over your teammates. On the other hand this seems to be a problem that riot games could fix by allowing the players to switch summoner spells for the first 10 seconds.

If it's a mistake it's understandable and there is no need to report. But if the jg doesn't take responsibility to allow for a remake then it signals that it either wasn't a mistake or they are completely unapologetic and nonchalant about it. And in that case, imho, yes a report is completely warranted.

Not unless they adapt. If they show other signs of wanting to throw the game, yes. But I've won without smite and lost to enemies without smite more often than not, prolly cus ppl underestimate what seems to be a weak enemy. No remake needed, just play. All you have to do is not get tilted, cus it's super doable. You can either duo top w/ tier 1 gold item, or farm as normal if champ is strong early, or get super help from whoever can slightly roam - v effective since they removed xp sharing from buffs, and I actually got someone ahead like this.

And like others mentioned, you have 4 other people to notice so this doesn't happen in the first place. If they're afk for champ select and don't notice all the "SMITE PLS FFS" in chat, just chill n play, chances are low that they're trolling.
