A small observation
In psychology, there is concept called "the dark triad", which refers to a trio of negative personality traits paired together due to their "dark" qualities. The three traits in question are psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and narcissism, and I was thinking how each of them translated to one of the leaders of the Black Rose:
-
LeBlanc represents Machiavellianism, being a chronic manipulator and backstabber who is constantly pulling others' strings from behind the scenes. She doesn't particularly care about moral constraints, exploits others for her own purposes, and prefers to deal with them through deception and trickery rather than directly.
-
Vladimir represents psychopathy, being remorseless, hedonistic, and murderous; he also enjoys toying with the lives of others due to his god complex. His violent tendencies and delusions of grandeur likely come from his treatment at the hands of his family and "owner", but this doesn't change the fact that he's gleefully psychotic and a drama queen.
-
Elise represents narcissism, being the most selfish and self-obsessed of the three. She desires to be beautiful and admired by others because she conflates it with power, and wants to have control over others. Being born into privilege and being the head of an organization also puts her in a position of power, which places her above her "lessers".
This could also reference their position as a sort of "anti-Trifarix", paralleling Might, Vision, and Guile like Mordekaiser does with Domination, Destiny, and Deceit, rather fittingly for the enemy of Swain and his supporters.
who is now also a member of the black rose?
am I a joke to you?
