Anyone else think Jhin is Ao Shin?

I believe that a while after Ao Shin was declared to be on hold and Riot said they may rename him. Also I think that in the beginning of the trailers the noise isn't a gunshot but thunder and lightening. (Reminder Ao Shin was going to be a storm dragon champion) The lore from the Udyr Spirit Guard Comic Promo (with Ao Shin at the end) states that he (Udyr) is guarding a temple that if captured by evil a great shadow would fall on Runeterra (Zed and that mysterious box that was never confirmed to fall into his holding in his lore? Bard likes stealing Cosmic artifacts, could he have taken the box and stored it with Udyr in a different temple?). Ao Shin was also described as being of the natural world, and I believe there has been a lot of theory involving Jhin being an elemental type champion. Not sure how Sona Garen Vi would fit in? Only Sona and Zed are from Ionia, not sure how Garen Vi fit in though.

Not at all because Ao Shin's been iceboxed. He's unlikely to see the light of day for a VERY long time, and probably not even with that name.

Oh he was completely halted? I thought they were simply putting him off until they had time to develop him better.

Yeah essentially what they've said is they want a serpentine dragon like character at some point, but right now the game isn't built to handle the animation needs of such a being. Unlike champions with tentacles like Illaoi and Vel'Koz who can have tentacles move as independent objects relative to everything else, a creature like Ao Shin has his entire body move in motions that mean they'd have to do a serious amount of under the hood work to make the animations fluid and not jankey. When that's done they're likely to revisit the concept and fully commit to the idea, but right now it's a no go.

He also still doesn't have a functioning kit that they really liked internally, which doesn't help matters.

Extrapolating off of this the chances of us seeing a champion like Ao Shin in terms of physical form in 2016 are slim to nill. 2017 is a possibility but not a guarantee. That's not to say Ao Shin will never see the light of day, as certain champions can do through development hell; the "Sand Mage" concept went through various iterations and was iceboxed over the course of three years before the finally nailed it with Azir, it's just that it's not a thing we're likely to see any time soon. My guess is that when we next see Ao Shin he'll look nothing like that initial concept work and likely won't even have the name Ao Shin anymore.

Well to be fair its been over a year now since they revealed him and other known cases of this weren't that long(azir and ekko had similar things happening to them).

It's been over two years; he was revealed between Lucian and Jinx's released; which were late 2013 releases.

And Azir's concept of "sand mage" was in development for absolutely ages; a 2014 release from a 2011 concept.

Wasn't azirs concept leaked in 2012? But well they probably started before that already,so you are probably right eitherway.

Anyway I'd say that Ao shin could be released soon in theory,but in the end there is no guarantee,so I think there is no point in always assuming he is the next champ...

Beginning to think it would have been better if they never unveiled Ao and just waited until he could be developed to show him off

The thing is that deadeye is pretty likely to be a marksman(to be more precise he seems to be even one with some sort of rifle) and I really doubt that they'd make ao shin a marksman...

it makes sense that they would make ao shin be jhin/deadeye the name hasn't fully been confirmed but he does have points that when each of the champions die it sounded like a lightning strike and I like the point were he is described as being of the nature world which would make sense on why he would have to kill sona, vi, garen, and zed. Lets start with zed he wanted power and theirfore took the living shadows and lost his control in the end ao shin who wanted all the people who got power and lost something in return he wanted things to go back to the natural world and it looks like each person he kiled was the people who go what they wanted or lost the thing that they didn't know they had to sacrifice. Vi gloves was shot off sona got shot in the throut and garen was shot in his heart.
