Question about Swain, in relation to Zoe

I remember reading somewhere that Riot doesn't like to put out champions with similar skillsets/playstyles (say, burst mages or assassins for example) back-to-back. Given that they're now releasing Zoe (a burst mage), does that mean that Swain is gonna get his VGU delayed? Yes, I know Swain is a drain tank at the moment, but Riot has also said in the past that they're going to avoid drain tanks from now on because of how difficult such a playstyle is to balance in the meta.

He'll be a battlemage. It's a different class entirely, and you don't need to be a drain tank to be a battlemage (see: Aurelion and Karthus)

Really doubt this will happen. They might be both mages, but they'll likely play completely differently, especially since Swain is likely going to remain a battlemage(or heck the way they talked about him being on the frontlines sounds like he might even turn into an AP-juggernaut).

I mean Camille & Warwick were released after each other, despite the fact that both are diver-class-fighters.

Oh look, ANOTHER lie/double standard I can add to my list!

"We hate drain tanks!" -- buffs lifesteal repeatedly.

Riot hates the fact that he is a drain tank not the fact that he is a BATTLE MAGE

Battle Mage are sustained fighters, they don't burst but tend to be ''Damage over time and able to wreck an entire team if you let them go''. Unlike burst mages, they aren't limited by their cooldowns but by their mana costs and the time required in a fight to wreak havoc.

AurelionSol Karthus Cassiopeia Malzahar Vladimir Zyra (When she was more mid) are great examples of this.

Swain's problem is that he has WAY too much sustain and snowball too much while becoming a killing machine that stays alive for too long. I main Swain since Season 3 and you can stay in lane almost forever once you hit 6 if you manage your ult and passive well.

He will still play a battle mage, but they will have to cut in that natural tankyness (he synergises TOO well with item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 }item 3157 which makes him Very tanky while shredding everything once he gets Void Staff. His laning phase is far to be bad compared to Vlad... so you can'T really use laning phase as a weakness and Vlad actually sacrifices a lot of HP during a fight while Swain only has to manage his passive.

The passive will be completely gone for sure and he will probably have some form of HP sustain somewhere since they want him to be in the heart of battle destroying Demacian armies. I expect them to cut alot in the sustain in order to Add Heavy AoE damage in teamfights.
