Thoughts on how void champions could be made cohesive
I love the void champions. They are some of my favourite champs and I think that they could be made into the most cohesive champion group in both lore and gameplay. The most common aspect void champs have in common is insatiable hunger and yet it somehow remains fairly distinct for each separate champion. Cho 'gath has an insatiable hunger for worlds (I think of this as hunger for power), Kog Maw has an insatiable hunger for things, Vel 'koz for knowledge. I think that the discrepancies between each void champs individual type of hunger can give them an interesting common point and meaningful differences. It is already strong, but it could be stronger.
Gameplay wise I think that all void champs should be tuned to a late game fantasy. This would fit extremely well with how the lore already depicts them as monsters with insatiable hunger that will continue to grow in power as time goes on. Kha'zix in lore is eternally seeking greater things to kill so that he can evolve into a better hunter, kog'maw is always consuming things and growing, vel'koz always researching more. If they were tuned to be late game beasts then it would be a really good place where lore and gameplay would interact.
I also think that this should apply to those who have been affected by the void like Malzahar and kassadin (varus?).
TL;DR The hunger is a theme that should define void champions both in lore and in game, making them the most unified and cohesive gameplay and lore group of champions.
