Is Riot trying to ship Yi and Fiora?

I'm not quite sure since I know there's a lot of speculation and in-game voicelines/content that lean towards Fiora being gay.

Then again, PROJECT is a separate story line so it may very well be possible. It could always be that way and just wasn't added upon or given more lore to it.

Note that this is also in the Immortal Journey skinline, very explicitly too:

"A pupil of a famous martial arts school, Fiora pined after her fellow student Yi, but was never able to win his heart. Now she pursues him as he searches for the fabled sword of jade, to protect the artifact from the man she once loved."

Then again, there's also this year's Heartbreaker skins with her and Vi, where it's ambigious whether they're competitors or lovers or both. So I think it would be a fairer guess to think that she actually likes both in canon, most likely. Now all we need is some Yi and Vi content to complete the triangle.

There is nothing in the canon lore that says fiora is gay. I'm tired of people taking that 1 swain quote to confirm their ships despite the fact that it doesn't mention her sexuality at all. If you people read the lore then you would know that fiora doesn't marry because she would lose control of the house. She will only marry if someone beats her in a duel and it has always been men, not one mention of women. The yi lines at least explicitly say that the two are shipped. The valentine skins just call fiora and vi rivals not lovers. Trust me if fiora was gay then riot would have said it already. And i doubt they will risk another varus( straight character retconned gay) debacle again.

Discussing the direction it appears Riot was taking certain characters, lore-wise? If you read, you can figure that out very easily! =D

This line seems to heavily imply that fio is into women, and with the latest valentines skins between her and vi, it looks even more so. Idk where riot plans on going with this, just giving the exact quote that makes it seem that way. Idk how true it is, or even if it transcends into the project universe, it just seems to be the direction riot is heading. Personally, i wouldn't mind, fio doesn't have an established sexuality (like old varus did with a wife and i believe a child) and neither does vi. They kinda suit each other tbh, but maybe that's just me

Im tired of people bringing up this line. It says nothing about her sexuality and if you read the lore you would know that fiora she spurred suitors because if she got married then she would lose control of her house to her husband. That's why she duels men for her hand in marriage, not one mention of women. Oh and nothing in the lore says vi is gay either, she calls caitlyn cupcake because of her traps, if anything vi would like jayce since she says his face is nice and cait tells the boys, not girls that she left her fuzzy cuffs( obvious sex joke). Shipping can be so annoying with you folks.
