Actually, the whole point of his lore now is that the ideal he was paragon of died. The origin of his celestial ascension is unknown, if i got it right.

Aatrox isn't an Aspect.

He's an Ascended.

Or, well, WAS an Ascended.

Aspect in this case meaning spirit/identity.

Aatrox was an Ascended, not an Aspect. Whatever Aatrox was suppose to symbolized, got destroyed the moment he got trapped. We have no idea which ideal he suppose to represent, but if I had to pick one, I probably would assume the concept of nobility (or similar) since the word is used awful lot in his bio. I kinda doubt we will ever get the answer to it.
