Vgu list given by Reav3: who should be reworked when?

With the VGU characters for 2017 fully confirmed we can now speculate on who the next VGUs wil be for next year and beyond. Now this is not in order and some may be added but let's say this is the list for the next three years ( Duo Update) Now looking at this what should be the order they are released. Well we won't know for a while but here's what I think will be the order for each year based on what I've heard riot comments mention the most and on who I think needs their vgu for these years 2018: 2019: ( Duo Update) 2020: 2021: Again this may change or be added on but for next year I'm almost sure that'll be the champions for that year

I wouldn't be even so sure that we get only these 4 VGUs this year. After all Warwick took roughly 6 months if you count the winterbreak(and honestly it wouldn't surprise me if WW was already ready for patch 7.1 and they only didn't include him because they didn't want him to sit on the pbe over the winterbreak). So it wouldn't be unreasonable for Urgot to come out in june,in which case there'd be a small chance for the next rework of the team to come out in december Sure its a small chance,but it is there.

Also if we go by 4 reworks each year,then you'd need to keep in mind that Swain will likely take a bit longer than other VGUs,because of his additional models and that Kayle and Morgana are still 2 champions and thus will take more time than others.(sure morgana will likely take less work than the others,but kayle really needs the whole VGU)

Overall if I'd rank them in tiers I'd say that: Tier 1: Mordekaiser Nunu Swain Irelia Pantheon (all of them really need the VGU) Tier 2: Akali Kayle & Morgana Shaco Chogath DrMundo XinZhao (all of them,except Morgana,are in dire need of a VGU,but not as much as the Tier1-champs) Tier 3: Volibear Rammus (I feel like these 2 are in a pretty ok spot,they need the VGU,but not as much as the other champs)

I hope that we get a 3rd or maybe even 4th vgu team so that we get more VGUs each year

2018 consists of Swain then Irelia then Akali and Nunu . Confirmed by one of the champion roadmaps so that makes 4 this year plus mini Reworks such as Aatrox .

I actually thought the same thing for 2018 except my guess of the order is Nunu Swain Irelia Mordekaiser

But I secretly wish Pantheon gets his sooner

I think they will release more than 4 VGU. 5, maybe even 6.

I'm somewhat in agreement with the 2018 theory, though I actually feel like Cho'Gath might have more priority than presumed. Cho'Gath is the only VGU mentioned champion that represents the Void. It would not surprise me if Cho'Gath would be pushed with a Void Lore Update. Since I can't even guess where new champions will come from, I will personally hold Cho'Gath as one of the prime targets of VGU 2018 along with Irelia [Ionia] and Nunu [Freljord].

One of the factors I am keeping in mind is how many skins these champions have. Urgot and Evelynn both benefit from having rather small skin pools, which could mean another 2017 VGU if they followed up with Swain or Irelia. If someone like Nunu or Cho'Gath gets picked first, we have the case of a large number of skins needing to be reworked while both also possess a Legendary Skin that would likely be updated to the present standard of Legendary Skins.

I think we'll get a fifth update this year. Warwick came out in January, but he was finished right at the start of the year, which gives his team the whole month to work on Urgot. These projects take ~5-6 months once they go into full production, which means Urgot should be out in July at the latest. We could get one more at the very end of the year. If that were to happen, my prediction would be Mordekaiser or Nunu . Reav3 mentioned that they 'need it more' and they've both been consistently named as top candidates (along with Swain Pantheon Irelia ) Then those four would be our 2018 updates. As for beyond that, I'd pretty much agree with you, though I'd put Cho as the next highest after those big five.
