Kayn: Anyway, what does Rhaast mean? Rhaast: Obey. So that's literally what gave me these thoughts given i was thinking Rhaast is a Darkin and so is Aatrox, so i looked into Aatrox story and found some things that could help me out. He's the only one of 5 other among his kind (Darkin) that has escaped confinement (being restricted to being only a sword same way Rhaast was restricted to being a schyte). So assuming they are both Darkin and Aatrox escaped confinement the same way you get to choose to become Rhaast during a game it means there was someone who took the sword we now see Aatrox wield and couldn't withstand its corruption therefore Aatrox was able to reincarnate himself with it. In the end given Aatrox background and given Rhaast means Obey, what does Aatrox mean? Anyone wanna give in a guess? Is it Control, Chaos, Conflict, Rage... whatever it is, it definitely has to do with his hypnotic style of fighting as it is given to us in the lore.

"Some fight for honor, some fight for glory. It matters only that you fight." - Aatrox Aatrox

But hey, that's just a theory, a game theory! <--fml Kayn

I believe it comes from the Latin word atrox, atrocis , which - much like the word ferox, ferocis (=wild) - means savage, wild, cruel, vile. That's my guess anyway.

You'd think Aatrox translates to one of our many definitions of Fight, Battle or Combat.
