The hidden Jax
EDIT: I know its been confirmed, i made the post a while ago and forgot to post it, i just put it out there because why not.
So this post is just to get out what I've seen about
fitting in to the void lore. Now i know his bio got updated and so my "ingenious" detective skills really could have been the most obvious but whatever. I'm showing how Jax and Saijax Cail-Rynx Kohari Icath’un from the short story "Where Icathia Once Stood" (insert Lorax meme here) are the same character. For this post i will only be using Jax's short story and the void's short story as material.
Firstly, the description in the story of Saijax is " a shaven-headed giant with skin pockmarked by the ravages of a childhood illness, and a forked beard stiffened to points with wax and white chalk". Now the skin we don't know about as Jax is covered up all the time. Same with the hair and facial hair. But what is interesting is the size, which is in his short story is also described as large.
Next, the obvious naming. SaiJAX. It is worth noting that in the language of the Suriman dessert, "Sai" means "Sand" or "Of the Sands", making him Jax of the Sands. (Quick note, this is his Grandsire's name, idk what that means for him but it is his namesake).
Then comes the fate of Saijax. Saijax is hit with the power of the void, which began to corrupt his flesh. We all know voidflesh is purple and that fits the purple skin he has (also the deformation could account for his oddly fingered hands). Then he ran away from Icathia on horseback.
Now, about his mission. In his story he want to save his home, Icathia, from a force that was there long ago. He is searching for a partner. In the Lore he worked very closely with another Kohari soldier (Colgrim) and it is logical he would now need a partner.
Saijax was very talented with a kind of weapon that resembled a long pole-arm. One so heavy that most would need two hands to even try to wield it, but he used one-hand easily. This ties in with his modern weapon of choice.
Finally, and most damming, eggs. Yeah that right, eggs. Saijax was famous for his hard-boiled eggs, which he ate on the battlefield. He even had his own technique of de-shelling them (involving vinegar). And in Jax's short story what does he eat between bouts on the bridge. You guessed it, eggs. Hard-boiled eggs.
