Now when we break down fiddlesticks he(or it) really falls into their own unique category.

Fiddle is most definitely not human. And even though he physically resembles bound sticks/ branches and grass he is not something produced by "magic run amok in nature" ex Zyra/ Maokai. He is also not tied to the Void, which is somewhat interesting and unique in this aspect being that he is a harbinger (of something). Where as the void we have the prophet malzahar, cho'gath, all somewhat warning or preaching about the void being opened consuming everything etc.

Fiddlesticks aren't any of those, however let's look at what he is

Fiddlesticks seems to have little reason and is only interested in slaughter, he isn't quoted as intelligent and rather keeps to himself and seems to only want to strike fear into all those around them and bring their destruction. He lives the darkness and only accepts the company of his crows ( his murderous flock). Now that is a huge piece of information I want to touch on.

Fiddlesticks is in essence a Scare Crow correct? A scare crow is something man made. Something that you can argue exists in Runeterra Which means fiddlesticks isn't necessarily something entirely foreign. He isn't some absolute alien being like Malphite/ Cho'gath. He is something a child could recognize as a scare crow.

Now here is where this gets interesting.

Fiddlesticks "friends" are Shaco and Nocturne. Both hauntingly creepy champions who are stuff out of someones nightmares... and there we have it NIGHTMARES. Nocturne, Shaco, and Fiddlesticks "get along" because they are all born from the same "place" they are physical manifestations of summoners nightmares. Nocturne was born from the nightmares of those terrified of the dark. Shaco is born from a fear of clowns, manifesting in the form of an insane murderous clown with a fixed terrifying smile. All 3 champions share an ability that fears the target. They thrive off of fear and death. They are the absolute manifestation of nightmares "accidentally" summoned to our world.

And fiddlesticks is the Harbinger of Nightmares. They want summoners to be afraid, for citizens far and wide to fear them. To hear and witness such terrifying stories of them that it gives them nightmares. Nightmares that will fuel them, create more beings out of darkness and fear. And Fiddlesticks hold the key to opening that door to release even more terrors on our world.

The key: If you look at fiddlesticks original art he has a silver key hanging ominously around his neck. This key does not open or lead to any doors in our world. But rather unlocks our most terrifying thoughts, and darkest fears so that one day when their Nightmarish army has amassed from all the fears and terrors in our world he may unleash them to paint our skies black, and turn the lands to ash.
