Custom skins? I didn't even know that was a thing.

Custom skins are basically ''skins'' that can be downloaded from certain sites on the internet (Ex of a trusted site: mapskins.com) and can be inserted into the game using a trustful program (Ex.: Wooxy) to make the game more F2P-ish (Free 2 Play) and so that players can have twice the fun playing while using them.

Technically, the client has nothing to do with custom skins, as they are used in-game (unless if the custom skin changes champion splash arts/VO; client sounds, and a few more... which can be noticed in the client). And besides... so much creativity and imagination were used and given to us to have fun and be admired. But there are some naughty designers put their custom skins up for sale, which that, if there has been a negotiation, can be heavily punishable for the person who buys them, also for those who sell them, as they might have sold a skin that may contain some type of hacks or other helps that can give you advantages in-game.

Concluding, Riot Games might not make custom skins ''unusable'' because it is taking away about 30% of the fun from players, as well as 80-90% from designers that simply create and publish them for free; and DO NOT TRUST CUSTOM SKINS THAT HAVE A PRICE, AS THEY WILL PUNISH YOU BADLY!!!!!

P.S.: Sorry the the tiny advertisement in the introduction there. [zombie-nunu-tears]

From what I understand, with the client update the method used to inject the modified skin files will be unusable, meaning the current custom skin installation method will not work. It's a shame that it has to happen, but that's the price to pay for using new tech.
