League has great lore why waste it.

The only time lore ever progresses or changes is when a new champ is released or reworked and when no champ reworks or new champs interact with their lore it never changes. Ashe has been trying to conquer the Freiljord for years and we haven't had any updates or changes in the lore since she was released. Azir has been trying to revive Shurima for some time now and we have no idea how its going. League has lots of awesome lore in a awesome world and its sad to see it go to waste. I really haven't had any great ideas on how to make the lore more fluid but ill share some of the ones I've had. Since the League Of Legends is pretty much a mix between Mortal Kombat and roman gladiators. Imagine in worlds each country is assigned a country in Runetera. What ever country in Runetera won that country progresses in wars and their lore progresses massively in general. As an example Noxus and Ionia are at war so if Noxus won they would gain ground. At the end of the season every nations lore would progress. Like Azir begins to revive Shurima and gets further every year. And if the lore reaches an end point they could throw in a conflict. Like imagine in several years Ashe unites the Freljord but then the 3 ice gods return and Lissandra begins to wage war against Ashe's empire. It would be like a Bildgewater event every pre season but without the game mode and map just the lore changes. As a writer it bothers me that such a colorful world with so much conflict just stays static for years upon years. If Riot would give the right to right to write a book I would as well lol. What do you guys think of a more dynamic lore. IMO it would increase immersion there for increase fun. If you guys have any ideas please share them and hopefully Riot will see one and maybe consider it.

PS. This is like my third post and I haven't slept for two days so sorry for the misspelling and chaos.

I actually think that GP and Mf got a rework because of the bilgewater event, not the other way around. So in that case we didn't get new lore because of a new champ or rework, but we got the reworks because of the new lore.

Also last years harrowing came without a new champ, yet it gave us more information about the harrowing than any others before.

Overall the thing is that riots lore team is slow,so I think it is not a matter of "they don't want to deliver more lore",but more along the lines of "they can't deliver it any faster".

Answer to the title question. Because lore on its own doesnt bring money. It only brings money on events.
