Orianna's new lore is great and all but...

Her voice lines really don't fit now. She used to be a remorseless killing machine, so her lines relating to death and unknowing of mankind were fitting. However, new Orianna is a much more "human" Orianna. She understands what a human is and used to be one, she is just trying to regain her humanity. Her voice lines feel really out of place now, as if she's just pretending to be a killer robot.

New Orianna has a lot more heart in her (hehe), so can she get some new voice lines to fit?

They also must remove the wind-up key. It's a major plot point that she takes it out when she finally gains a metal heart and gives hers to her father...

Her color story gave me the feels. ;_;

I just wanna give her a hug now.

I really like the new lore, but I have one thing that bothered me. Her heart was her only human part left, right? Like okay but... am I expected to believe that her brain was somehow replaced? By gears and kogs? I know this is a world with magic and wonder, but that is really fucking hard to ignore.

They'll have to add in the new lines, eventually. Orianna VU?

The same happened with Miss Fortune's lore update.

I really hope they go and update some of these VO's, they just dont do the champs justice.

The new story is fairly well written, but why the drastic change to who orianna is? Her old lore was probably the easiest to adapt to the new league less lore. Her new character doesn't fit who she was, or who she still is in game, so why the change? A robot that must learn to deal with humans and not living up to the person they were based off of isn't any less compelling or rich in emotions and story, just look at astroboy, so WHY?

All I see is change for the sake of change, which just feels like a slight against anyone who was invested before.

I want stories about the characters I care about, not strangers wearing their face and name tag.

In order to fall in line with this new character, orianna will inevitably get a complete rework and personality in game, leaving her feeling nothing like the character I hold dear.

As if Diana or Leona lines fit since they changed the lore. Ofc they don't but nobody at riot cares

I agree that her lore and in-game lines don't fit anymore, but I am against the idea of changing her in-game lines to accommodate her new lore. :( Making her more relatable will (more or less) kill the creepy aspect of her character, something that she is known for. I'll be very sad if that's what becomes of her </3

Don't worry, they're just disregarding previous elements of their story and lending them an incongruity in character and tone. I'm not saying they won't make changes to VO's but it's going to be one of those things on the To-Do List that never, ever gets done. Still would be nice if they settled on something. I'm not against rewriting lore but you're right, now her VO sounds really uncharacteristic...or is it her new lore that's uncharacteristic? (Like I said, incongruity)

I totally agree with you. She's gone through a major Change in her Design through the new story and she's got a truly beautiful personality now. i'd love to see a love tap on Ori's VO and a removal of her Wind-up Key.

This is by far the story that touched me the most of them all.

There's one line that makes more sense now than ever before though:

"I hear soft things."

Maybe I'm interpreting this incorrectly, but it seems like Orianna hears the pumping and beating of what little she has left of her original body inside.

I Really Liked the New Lore, Specially the fact, that besides being pretty much a robot now, she still was herself, not a copy created by a madman(If you dont remember her dad went nuts with her death), she also feels more human then before, what is kinda funny, it doesnt explain what she is doing in the League, but its cool.

Another good thing, is that she didnt die, the bad part of it, is that she suffered an agonizing path to her transformation, something that would be amazingly normal on a Japanese Horror Movie.

Another Interesting thing, is that we had a more personal view on who she WAS(Human Orianna), and a explanation on how her memories are in the Robot.

Orianna sweetheart, that new lore made me Like you even more, now we just need a visual update.

Once again Lady of the Clockwork, lets dance in the Fields of Justice, You know what makes them Tick, And you know how to make the Ticking Stop, so lets do that.

Not sure she is trying to "regain" her humanity - I think she is very cognizant that her identity has shifted, and, therefore, so has her perspective of self and the world. My interpretation is her body mod's fundamentally changed her into a different person. HOWEVER, I will agree that, not withstanding her change in identity, she seemed to retain her sense of empathy. That empathy is definitely not reflected in her voice lines.

TheHappyReaperz12/9/2016, 12:39:31 AM1 votes

How? The little story thing she did along with her lore update shows her give zero fucks for human life. Her ball literally zaps someone until he's no longer responsive, at the command of Orianna. She then tells it to go trap another person in a field of pain. She may be trying to reconnect with her humanity, but the key word there is trying, she's still pretty remorseless.

midnight oil2412/8/2016, 1:44:04 AM1 votes

I think that that is her main personality now, because she removed the last thing that made her human.

Kitty Pix12/8/2016, 3:21:44 AM1 votes

This means she's potentially up for a VGU! That would be exciting!

Friendly Ram12/8/2016, 3:29:01 AM1 votes

i'd love new lines but really hope they don't change gameplay

ModAcademy Kayn12/8/2016, 3:51:24 AM1 votes

I'd love if along with Warwick, Orianna got a VU as well. Unlikely, but it'd be lovely.

SorrowJoy12/8/2016, 5:03:40 AM1 votes

I feel as if Orianna is still an innocent girl and the ball however is her aggressive protective younger brother ( Cause she made it a while after herself ) and together they are a powerful unit.
