Urgot Hype!!!: the lore just got more interesting

Let's be honest Kayns release was eclipsed by urgots tease and pre-release and honestly I don't blame people he looks awesome. https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/a/aa/Urgot_OriginalSkin.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170711184810 And his bio fits his new persona perfectly and can't wait to see where it goes from there. With that in mind I'm curious to see if his vgu will only cover his lore or other champions lore.

Now when urgot was first announced, some thought he would herald the lore update of the great empire itself https://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/e/e9/Noxus_Crest.png/revision/latest?cb=20161117055949 However , as hinted by Reav many times , urgot may have roots in noxus but he is now mainly affiliated with Zaun and that is seen in every aspect of his being. So although noxus will have to wait, urgots update just may cover lore for other champions, particularly two champions that were not only left out in the Zaun update but also have much in common with urgot; All three are highly involved in Zaun though to different degrees All three have been drastically altered by Zaun technology and its chemical environmental all have they're own twisted agendas to make Zaun 'great'

With this in mind I'm guessing on my thoughts for how much lore the othe known and hinted updates for champions will cover. this however is not factoring that new champions may also be chosen to update lore of groups or region in runeterra which could widen or lessen the lore of these champions ( just her lore) GU ( possibly daarkin champions ) ( highly possible herald of noxus) ( double or back to back release for ninja related champions in Ionia ) ( just his lore) ( possible herald of void update) ( just his lore) ( triple or back to back release considering their all living nightmares) ( possible herald of Ionia update) ( just his lore) ( confirmed double release) ( just his lore) ( just his lore) ( possible herald of freljord update ) ( possible extention of winters claw champions) ( just his) ( just his) ( possible herald of bandle city) ( just his) ( possible extention of Avarosa champions) ( just his) ( just his)

And to those familier with the champion tier for vgu please remind me

Amumu DrMundo Mordekaiser Pantheon Rammus and Skarner all already have new lores and these regions have been updated already. It is possible we have an event for regions such as Targon and the Shadow Isles when Panth and Morde are updated as we don't have the icons for those as of yet. Jax short story hints at him being from Icathia, which is the 'stronghold' of void corruption in Shurima, so Jax's new lore could reveal detail's of the Void and possibly Malzahar and Kassadin . Imo, Olaf , Tryndamere or Volibear introducing the Freljord update would make more sense than Nunu , since currently Nunu is disconnected from the main story of the Freljord, though this could change with his update.

As for evelynn i can see her as a herald of the shadow isles or continuation of there lores but if not i can see morde will be the one considering he is the mascot of the area. As for the herald of shurima, i can see skarner get the position because he is an important part of the lore/shurima and even runatera. As for bandle city, i can see a new champ being the herald like camille considering teemo's vgu will not be soon enough(lets assume 2020) its a heck long if riot will wait for teemo's vgu same with the void. cho's vgu in my opinion will not be too soon considering there is the top 4 high priority vgu's(swain,nunu,panth,morde) so a new champ as a herald will be great. overall i agree with some of yours. great work :)

My personal theory is that were going to get a Spirits &/Or Demons Lore Update I've been thinking that the herald of this would probably be a completely new Champion, but a series of reworks of Shaco Fiddlesticks and Nocturne is highly plausible as well (I mean, the three of them have a literal trinity of evil-shadowy-nightmares, they are the only ones listed as related to one another).

I'm thinking more detailed lore and more short stories on TahmKench , Bard , and the three other Demons mentioned above (We already have a decently detailed lorepiece for Kindred and Janna was reworked into a spirit in the Zaun update)

We might actually get a darkin update next week,because of Kayns release. After all the vastaya update came a week after the release of Xayah and Rakan as well.

And keep in mind that most factions will likely need 2 updates to get all their champs done. So Nunu could be the herald of the first freljord update,wheras Volibear could be the herald for a second one.

Also some champs on this list already have new lores,so its possible that the VGUs will simply adjust to the new lore (and continue it)instead of retconning the current lore again.

I don't like how people are getting uppity about "URGOD BEING TAINTED #NOTMYURGOD". You're entitled to your opinion, but Rework Urgot has something OG Urgot doesn't have.

A fear factor.

OG Urgot is just really grotesque, and is also known to be ugly and sometimes crappy in games(unless played by a pro, which can be said of all champions, to some degree). Reworked Urgot, on the other hand, looks mildly grotesque, but now he looks actually scary. It's basically what Riot did to Warwick; making a champion affiliated to Zaun look legitimately scary, to balance out Zac and Janna with the cute/nice-looking factor. Sorry for rambling, don't care if you upvote or not. Just stating my personal opinions of Urgot's rework.
