Who would be the best Demacian champion to fight Sylas?

Clearly Lux is out of the running, he would just steal her magic like the last time, might be a nice grudge match I guess. I presume with Galio he might... steal his soul? That would be kind of scary. But the rest of the cast would be pretty interesting to see.

Poppy vs Sylas would be sick, it would be cool to see what Sylas could steal from Poppy's yordle magic, whilst at the same time giving her the chance to prove herself. Garen would end up having his magic stolen, being confronted with the fact that he is a mage whilst fighting one of the most dangerous mages at the same time. Jarvan has no magic (I think), it would just be cool to see him defend his country. Shyvana might be an interesting one, can a dragon be hurt by her own fire? Last one that stands out to me is Morgana, how would she react to seeing her own divine powers, which she rejects, turned against her (even though she could probably just black shield them)?

Which champion/s would you like to see duke it out with this psychopath? Either the one you think is most interesting, or just the best one for the job (if it's Galio because he could squish him, pick another for discussions sake).

Xin Zhao, no innate magic, one of the best fighters, devoted to the family and thus would fight harder.

Garen Nothing is going to get in the way of a brother protecting his sister from what he perseveres as a scumbag using her emotions against her better interests.

Forget the Ult, Garen will beat Sylas into the ground via pure hand to hand.

There’s zero confirmation Garen actually has magic.

And the promo pic doesn’t count as confirmation.

He just has ult pre-lore update. Pretty confident if he were made after the lore updates his ult wouldn’t look like that

Sylas alone is pretty weak. Since he has no magic he can use to fight on his own, he completely relies on mages in his vicinity. He probably has no military training either, in a country full of extremely well trained soldiers. And to top it all of he is still wearing those petricite chains, which weigh him down significantly and have almost no use without magic to absorb.

So pretty much everybody without magic and with proper military training/fighting experience should be able to beat him. Fiora is probably the best choice since duels are kinda her thing.

I think Galio wouldn't work since he needs a LOT of magic to move. I don't think Sylas' magic would be enough. Potentially he could even absorb the magic stored in Galio's petricite to reduce the chance of him moving even further.

Galio would simply outstomp Sylas by mass alone while getting fueled by all the magicians around.

Probably an unpopular opinion: Quinn.

  • extremely agile making for a flashy fight.
  • has a bird that will also be savagely attacking Sylas, making for a flashy fight.
  • high damage marksman can probably take out most of the mages around Sylas at the time very quickly, leaving the two in more of a 1v1 and forcing him to rely on a very limited amount of borrowed magic.
  • has no magic herself, furthering the pressure of forcing Sylas to fight with very limited borrowed magic.
