I have been playing league for 3 years now, I have every champion and ip for days just sitting. But what i dont get is why so many people are just drawn to yorick When i played him it was really dull and boring and i doubt its his lore that makes people love me so So can someone tell me what it is about him that people Love so much cause i dont want to be that guy who doesn't get it.

I like Yorick's story because it's just so...different from anyone else's.

Yorick is a guy who does not want to be alive. He's only stuck doing this because the spirits of his ancestors in the Mori family didn't think he had done enough "gravedigging" (As literal or non-literal as that may be), so he awoke, undead, after burying himself, with the instructions to go fill his quota by burying more bodies.

Yorick's not a hero, he's not a villain, he doesn't think he's either of those things. He's just a guy who wants to finally get some peace and fulfill the expectations set upon him by his family name. He's a total underdog, and I kinda have to root for the poor bastard.

He's been basically nerfed into unviability for forever, and no reworker has been able to fix him. He's been just there for forever, unremembered and unused.

That's not how it went at all. Xelnath wanted to work on other things, so he shelved it and let the other teams work on him while he moved on. It's not that he couldn't do it, it's that he didn't want to do it.

Some other people tried behind the scenes, I thought.

The dev team that did Sion has been toying with other ideas, but that's about all it's been is toying with it since they still have Poppy to finish before they can devote any real time to Yorick.

Thematically, he's the closest thing to a necromancer the League has.

As far as his actual kit goes, I'm not sure. I find him very boring to play as or against to be honest.

Thats where i stand i have played mine maybe 5 or 6 times and just been confused on why he is so like , I like the Nercomancer angle though we need more of those in games
