The New Harrowing Story: Champions don't know each other?

So as we've seen, with the exception of Lucian knowing the creatures of the Shadow Isles, and the others, except Olaf, knowing stories about them, none of the champions know who each other are, or have even heard of each other, whatsoever, even though by player base they've batted many times before. I'm assuming that player based battles don't really matter, being excluded from canon? Or how exactly does that work out?

Yeah,the game isn't canon,so most champs probably never heard of each other.

Exactly what you said. The League of Legends and Summoners Rift are concepts that have never existed in the current canon so unless Champions are figures who would be known on the world stage it's unlikely they'll have heard of anyone who isn't from their corner of the setting.
