For what it's worth this guy was a main. So my heart goes out to you.

Something happen when champions go inside that board room to meet with the inner circle of Riot.

Seriously, I have learned to use his new kit that doesn't build around MR...but my main dude was never the same when he left that board room. He doesn't like to talk with me much about what happened but I know something did because my main dude ...he hasn't flown since.

You are missing the point to all of this. The Galio rework was much the same as the Shen rework. Most love it, but several few people hate it. Galio was boosted trash before and now he is viable (in the hands of anyone but you :)) Stop posting about this stuff. Nobody cares.

His lore changes have 0 effect in the game anyway so doesn't matter, the good thing is that we finally have 3 of the Darkins and we are missing 2 more
