What's up with Jarvan's update art?

I'm a big J4 fan who loved his new story. The lore was alright as well, but I'm really interested in whatever his visuals are morphing into. I know his model isn't the newest and I'm sure someday he'll get a spectacular VU, but what's with that image from the story cover? That armor doesn't resemble his at all.

Is he still in flux? The new Demacia art style seems so... strange compared to everything else ever produced around Demacia. Keeping in mind his current look, his most recent splash, this recent art sketch connected to new lore, and the new concept art for Demacian armor, I don't know what to expect.

Can you tell me if J4 will be getting a major visual overhaul? If so, could you please make a "traditional" skin?
